Just called the NVC and spoke to an operator – we have an interview date! May 31 at 9:30am in London. Hurray! I can't believe how quickly this came after case complete. Thank you everyone for your help and support!

HELP PLEASE, i call right know and the person who answer the phone told me , on april 11th us consulate in santo domingo send us an open interview, and he told me to wait for the letter so what is that

I'm not familiar with the way Santo Domingo conducts business but, it sounds similar to Brazil. Brazil sends out a package with a list of all required documents, medical info, etc. Once you have all the documentation and completed the medical portion... you send the form back to them (DS-2001). Basically, the form lets the Consulate know that you are ready for an interview. Once they receive it, they schedule the interview for you. Like I said... this is for Brazil... and is for a "typical case". Expedites are handled differently too. If you have questions, you should call them or the Department of State. They should be able to better serve you.

Thanks Erick , well i called to the consulate and they told me ,they sent me a open interview letter , and she said the letter have all the instruction for example they only take open interview Monday Tuesday and Thursday at specific time, she say to wait for the letter so my daughter can do the medical. so basically a got my interview but i don't know yet when I'm going, I'm in shock right now. i gotttttt my interviewwwwwwwwww , OPEN OMG , i can't wait to have that letter in my hand. :dance: :dance:

Wow, that comes as great news to a fellow Brit!

Our case was completed on the same day as yours, but is being dealt with differently as our docs have been sent straight through to London due to expedite.

According to the operator yesterday, our date was finally assigned and it is May 16!
