@ Saylin

I just found out that a flue shot is needed year round. I had read somewhere that the flu shots were needed only during the flu season. But my wife just called and they said it was all year round. She doesn't want to take a flu shot cause she gets adverse reaction from it. They told her if she gets it in writing from her Dr than they will not administer the shot.

The flu shot is only needed during flu season, which ends March 31, for immigration purposes. Your wife will not need one.

She called the one on Sherbrooke and the person there said its year round. Maybe that person either dosn't know the rules or my wife wasn't able to explain it correctly.

The one on Sherbrooke would be Dr Seidens. I'm not sure what happened there, but the flu shot is not required after March 31 as it's no longer flu season for immigration purposes.

I have my medical tomorrow (at Medisys) and after having it done, without the flu shot needed, you can tell your wife she can relax as it's not required.

There's a reason I waited to book my medical for after March 31. Didn't want to get a flu shot.

I'm going to Medisys, that I know. Just got mixed up with the addresses. And I assure you, the flu shot isn't needed after March 31 for immigration purposes. Because Medisys just doesn't do medicals for US visas, the person your wife spoke to might have been thinking of some other reason the flu shot is needed. When I called Medisys and asked a few questions, specifically about what vaccines I would need, the operator told me he wasn't a health specialist and couldn't tell me. Perhaps the person your wife spoke with wasn't a health specialist either but actually went on to list vaccines when they weren't qualified to.

An operator at NVC told me my case was completed 3/28/2011 and that they normally do all the interview scheduling during the second week of the month. So hopefully we can get our interview dates by this week or the next.

Grats on your case complete! kicking.gif

Please do not listen to the operators when they say they only schedule interviews during the second week of each month. It's a LIE. If you want proof, look at my signature. I was scheduled during the FOURTH week. So you can expect an interview date to be assigned any day, not just the second week.

VJ Fam, my case was completed at the NVC yesterday! Just found out this morning! The operator said that April is too full to schedule interviews so I am hoping we get something in May! Congrats!!!

Congratulations !!!! Erick I knew it, im so happy for you, that means my interview is almost there "hopefully" let see, my package is still running with DHL. i dont know why they use that company so slow.

Thank you.... what is the date that NVC said they shipped it? A lot of times the tracking number will be a day prior or a day after the date that NVC gives you.
