I read in one of NVC guides that it takes 7 - 10 days after case completion to get forwarded to consulate, so hopefully it will be mailed off by next week! Aaahh I'm so excited!

I called yesterday to DHL, they told me , Santo Domingo going to receive the package this Wednesday,sooo i guess after consulate received the package (If is Expedite) it takes 3 days to schedule the interview, so my day gonna be next Monday let see if i'm right.

My case has been approved for expedites on 28th March but my case is still with NVC. I am not sure if expedites really help on my case. I fear that expedities would not slow my case further. How long it takes for NVC to send your documents to Embassy after approval of your expedites? Thanks

It took them close to 10 days before finally reaching the US Counsulate in India, this long since the transportation time between US-India is more.

Hey Erick. You're a kind human being, and the fact I posted is purely to rant. NEVER will we lose faith, and yes, our day will come for sure - it IS insanity - people can only take so much, and with the whole TSC thing, it's becoming almost laughable.

This has JUST cracked me up - I received the email asking for more info around 45 minutes ago. I just checked the AVR, and they say the received the evidence yesterday. So, within one hour, they have told me:

1. They received the evidence.

2. The haven't received the evidence.

Both are wrong, cos the operator actually told us the received the evidence last week....

AND - they only NEED the statement cos we ticked the OPTIONAL box stating we have a bank account (there is $200 in it, and we have a joint sponsor - it is not relevant).

ONE DAY WE WILL PREVAIL - that's if we don't have our house foreclosed on first....

I THINK, this years Tax Return won't be required. We certainly haven't got ours, as it is being processed as we speak. If the Transcripts were the ones used on the I-864, you'll be good with 2007,8, and 9.

Thankyou Val and Gary!! That was some relief!!! I'm sure the end of tunnel is in sight for you!! Just hang in there, we've been though worse than this!! Remember our ranting days !!!

Do you know if NVC can schedule the interview with the foreign consulate in advance of forwarding the paperwork or will they not schedule an interview until the consulate has the paper in their hands? I'm in the same boat, they have approved but not sent. They are also considering an expedite request I sent last week. I don't know what they are waiting for. How long does it take to schedule an interview over the phone and ship the package?

"Step 3 - Finalization

Final Step 1 – NVC Case Completion

Time: Approximately 1 week after the last step of the above 2 independent tracks

Case is officially completed and NVC will set an interview date in conjunction with scheduling available at the foreign U.S. Consulate/Embassy.

Final Step 2 – NVC Case Forwarded to the Foreign U.S Consulate

Time: Approximately 7 to 10 days after above step

Case is officially forwarded to the U.S Consulate by DHL. All your Originals/Certified copies submitted to NVC along with all your files are mailed to the consulate in this step.

NVC mails out immigrant visa appointment letter to both the petitioner in the U.S and the beneficiary in the foreign country."

I assume the interview is scheduled before the consulate receives the paperwork. At least I hope it's that way!

NVC operators still sound confused, but the sign in failed around 15 minutes ago, so we are on our way thank GOD!!

Our AVR message in the NVC has changed yesterday to "We have received your checklist???(hard to understand), please allow 6-8 weeks for processing." We have sent to NVC both packages through our lawyer two weeks ago and received acknowledgement of the receipt by NVC immediately then. What this message could mean? I could not understand the two words in the message and they sounded to me as "check list", but am not too sure.

Anyone please advise? I believe they are now reviewing our AOS and IV packet and if no RFEs the case will be closed in the next couple of days. Am I correct?
