CSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

I have lived in Finland 9 months and they are asking police record, and on their website they say is needed if you have been outside your home country for more than 12 months. Since Monday we are dealing with this and nothing is solved until today. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Just made a call to NVC and the lady was not so nice, she told me to wait another 20 business days , is strange we already have waited since 10 March when DS 230 was at NVC. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I'm starting to think we should avoid the operators - like TSC, they just depress us. The girl I spoke to yesterday said we'd have to wait 6 to 8 WEEKS, just for them to review a bank statement showing $150?!!!

Obviously, I take that with a grain of salt, just as you will be done well before the 20 days wait.

I am sick and tired of all this bad job made by US Government. Why they can not be like Finland Government? Imagine that I have emailed them for PCC and they respond me that will be sent to my wife in US in english language. Will be an invoice on envelope also for 11 €. This is the wright spirit. All this in one day.

We just hoped to have CC this week but it seems that is very difficult at this point :(

You could get the CC. It is still possible. We too wanted some good news as it is our first wedding anniversary on Sunday, which will be a very miserable day. We wanted SOMETHING just to cheer us.

Well, I am pleased to say, you are absolutely correct! The operator informed me that this was a spurious RFE, and all that is required is the documents we have already sent. I think they enjoy giving us heart attacks!!

Thanks for all your words.

I'm inclined to believe LARAEYES when she says we can just virtually ignore all of this, and trust that they are working on our cases right now for case complete. What is your RFE for?

We're waiting to find out how Xelance's interview went - crossing fingers for him and his wife. Yes, the operators simply read from their PC - they know no more than us, and stick to the NVC procedural time frames.

Not too unhappy really - but was freaked we may have needed some more information to them.

Best of luck for a swift appointment.

This is what I got in response of my email sent to the yesterday :

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate

action will be taken once this review has been completed.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the

NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will

expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents

will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration

process.

What I must understand from this? Is the RFE mistake over or is just a delay? Some opinion will be appreciated.

Don't worry - we got the VERY same email two days ago.....I think we have to grit our teeth and hope all these are minor errors and the big task of getting CC goes on....I suppose we'll see in a few days....

We REALLY want SOME info this week other than RFE's - just to temper the sadness of being apart on our wedding anniversary. I mean, we can put a man on the moon, it's 2011 ans we don't allow husbands and wives to be together?

I honestly do not understand what is to review since was already made that once and since they have the same info and nothing new. They received IV pack on 10 March, putt it in system on March 22 and on 28 they have asked this PCC, that is not needed. I'm so pissed off. My birthday is May 29 and my wife and I have hoped that we will celebrate together. Since this mess we have doubts on this.

Congrats to everyone that has received their interview dates!

Also, a word of advice for anyone doing Electronic Processing(@ Montreal), do NOT email any of your supporting documentation before you receive your opt-in confirmation from NVC. I waited 30 days and my documents had still not been reviewed and after speaking with a supervisor I was told that if you send your documents before you received the opt-in confirmation they will be confused and not have a case to match the documents to! At this point I'm not sure that electronic processing is any faster than snail mail :(

We are with you...this is nuts. Val just called NVC, and a SECOND operator says we now have to provide ownership of a savings account with just over one dollar in it. Words fail me...and I understand how pissed off you are about providing a PCC you don't need. Once again - NO accountability.

Sorry to hear that Gary, but please talk with them and suggest them to send it by email as pdf file, post will delay and is in your advantage to end this stage. I think that they have to much to work this days and do not pay attention on the details af the files like should be.

Sorry to hear that :( I wish you to solve all those problems with NVC fast and get interview date soon. By the way, how are timelines for interviews at your embassy? Long wait? Although Lithuania is small, but we didn't get interview date for April, because NVC told us they were full. So guess what? I googled and found out that immigration interviews in US embassy in Lithuania are scheduled just for Tuesdays and just from 8.30 to 12.30pm and that's it. So of course they are full!!! So basically we are wasting all April just for waiting...

Wow, really? So there are only like 4 days out of the whole month that interviews are scheduled on? blink.gif That seems a little ridiculous...

I understand your frustration. Monday we find out about RFE, called them to let them now that is less than 12 months outside the country.

I'd say they got your response and are looking into it. I'm not sure if it's quite over yet. I hope so though! You guys need your CC before the week is over.

I also had to re-email my documents. Now, whether or not they reviewed my original documents or the ones I re-sent, I don't know. I'm betting that if I had mailed my documents instead of emailed, I would have been out of NVC a lot faster than 37 days since I was done sending things to NVC within 5 business days of getting my case number. Oh well, can't complain as I finished NVC with no RFEs and have an interview date for early May.

We are with you...this is nuts. Val just called NVC, and a SECOND operator says we now have to provide ownership of a savings account with just over one dollar in it. You could NOT make it up, and I find this absolutely appalling. We have been on medical expedite since Nov 26th, and they are doing this to us?

Words fail me...and I understand how pissed off you are about providing a PCC you don't need. Once again - NO accountability.

Um, wow... Really? blink.gif Why... Wha... I am completely baffled. Have you tried talking to a supervisor and asking them WHY they want this information? It's not required at all...
