I have the same situation here. Supposedly approved on the 25th of January and then nothing more heard. I think that they sent out the approvals before actually being approved to buy more time (for themselves) - both from my senator and congresswoman.

Did you receive your NOA2? We got ours pretty promptly. I'm a little worried because cases approved well after ours have already been assigned case numbers. I wonder where the files are?

hi, everyone! i have returned!! i called the nvc automated line today and still nothing on my case. never received any email from uscis, either. what do you guys think i should do??

Wait until this friday and see if arrives at NVC, while also calling the automated 603 number to try accessing your NVC case number. If not e mail her back for a follow up request that you been trying to obtain your NVC number but its not there yet ! As it maybe in the batch of next to be shipped to NVC.

Just a suggestion, since USCIS keeps playing with their online website it may well be they just havent sent it to NVC yet.

Good Luck

I received the NOA2 (I-797) hard copy about 3 or 4 days after the approval email. Here is the letter that I sent to Angela Barrows about 1 hour ago:

Dear Angela Barrows:

I am the petitioner for my dear wife Lanny in Indonesia. On December 25, 2011 I got a notice, of which is in an attachment, that my petition has been approved and also that it has been shipped to the NVC. But the NVC has not gotten it.

I am assuming that you have not shipped the petition to the NVC. Or might it be lost?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Of course, it is very unlikely to be lost. But I am trying to be "nice" and suggest that it "might be" lost. Whew.

I went through basically same scenario. I received my I-797C Approval Notice in the mail back in November with approval date of 11/23. I called NVC dozens of times, but kept getting "we have no record........" I talked to a phone rep numerous times, and they told me to scan my I-797C and send it as an attachment to an email to NVC. DID THAT! I then put in a service request one month after receiving my hardcopy NOA2, and received a letter from USCIS stating that my petition had been approved, BUT was not finished "processing". So, I waited for the next 77 days until I received an email from USCIS stating that my approved or re-affirmed petition had been sent to the NVC. That was on 8 Feb. I called NVC on the 12th, and to my surprise, the phone robot gave me the NVC case number. So, 80 days after I had already received my hardcopy of my I-797C approval notice, I got my case number.

send a e mail to denice as she was the one who first you spoke with.

Angela may think that Denice already sent it and it's just sitting on

Denice desk with the other many cases pending. I was approved the 24th

so unless they lost your file or sent it to CSC. Denice should have it to call her and e mail her and ask for a follow up to your approval and if it was sent yet or not or where is it ? than do it to Angela also after Denice

Good Luck

Thanks everyone!! Just had my wife email the DS3032 (choice of agent form). I will call on Monday to see if they have Invoice ID number.

congrats DanTes! make sure to also ask the live operator for you beneficiary number as well as invoice ID number. so you'll have 3 numbers... case number, ben. number and inv ID number. you'll need that beneficiary number when you pay the aos fee. i didn't realize this and had to call back and wait on hold for awhile...

The beneficiary ID should only be needed for the DS-261 and DS-260 for those doing the online forms. You needed it to pay the AOS fee? You sure? Cause my husband didn't need that number when he paid our AOS fee.

I emailed both Angela and Denise over the weekend.

Angela replied today. she said that it was a good thing that I had emailed her about the lack of transfer to NVC.

My petition approved on 1-14 -2011 had hit a "snag".

Sure enough I just got a text and email from TSC and my case status is updated to show today as the day it was sent to NVC.

"On February 14, 2011, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

I surely hope that this is the real thing!!

Good luck, and prayers everyone.

Rickey.

Visited Yanzi in Shenzhen in June 2009, and visited Yanzi again in October 2009.

Married Yanzi in Shenzhen on 06-01-2010.

Congrats Rickey. I think ours has had the same problem I too emailed over the weekend, but with no response. The lack of response worries me. The elation of approval is waning...

The "snag"? Just wondering what the snag was that Angela was alluding to earlier today on someones incoming email from her? She (Angela) had rescued someones petition from sitting (stalled). It presumably is now on its way to the NVC.

So what was the "snag"? Only thing that I can come up with is that she found it on someones desk, probably in a wire basket, just languishing. The "adudicator" had long forgotten about it as they were busy with "other" things. That's the same picture that I have for my petition and for Gary And Val's. What do you think?

Well, THIS is what Angela told us on the 8th February:

Don’t worry. Your cases were located. They were undergoing a quality review check when we were closed down due to the ice/snow that hit Dallas. I would say they will be shipped tomorrow, but we are scheduled to have another ice/snow storm that may shut the office down again. At the latest (according to the weather man) we will be operating Friday and it will go out. We have already notified the NVC that these cases are coming and have been delayed.

I have emailed twice since with no reply. Are we right to be getting slightly concerened here? I know J e n n y, who was approved at the same time as you and I has also not been shipped. Maybe we were adjudicated by the same person, and the files are on a desk as you said. I shall follow Ron's advice and email Denice tomorrow. I have to admit, I am slightly worried about the lack of response to my current emails, especially considering how helpful Angela appeared to be on the 8th February.
