Has anyone (other than me) ever wondered why the ad at the top of the VJ page says "Browse thousands of local singles on Zoosk"? I'm pretty sure that the MAJORITY of us are on here trying to get our spouses to the US. Just sayin' LOL

Thanks Erick - you have given me hope.

Only one hour to go before I find out.....good.gif

Did you submit the 864 & 230 packages together or separately?

Separately. I held off on sending the DS-230 because we were still waiting for her passport... and we were also hoping our expedite would get approved. Ironic actually... the day after she sent me the DS-230 and associated documents... they approved the expedite. Luckily she has certified copies of everything and can send them directly to the consulate. I would be pissed (not the drunk kind of pissed either) if I had to send everything back to her and/or the consulate (I still haven't received the package from her) Brazil mail is horribly slow. :D

See, that's my worry - we sent them both together, but we will see. Normally, I'm a calm kind of person, but the whole USCIS TSC thing has damaged us all. Apparently, our expedite is approved, but London want the case documentarily complete before they will expeditiously schedule an early interview.

Yeah, I completely understand. Not too much longer and you can call them. I'm pretty sure it's because they hadn't input the IV packet yet. Don't stress too much. I know, I know... easier said than done :)

Thanks Laraeyes.

Well, we called, and they simply want a copy of Val's bank statement for the I-864 - that is it. We sent one, but, what the heck...

They are prepared to take a copy over email, so it's not so bad.

I called a very smart lady, who was forthright in what was required, but when Val called to confirm, the operator she spoke to sounded quite confused.

I am wondering whether things are indeed like your and Ericks case, in that we have simply been shipped to consulate. I guess we'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, we'll gladly send an email copy of Val's bank statement.

AT LEAST we know they are working on our documents, and that's a relief - like your case Lara, London want the processing done at NVC before arranging an expedited interview. Looks like we are in identical situations.

Thanks for your supporting words. good.gif

Thanks Skynaut, but our lawyer DID send them together - he insisted on doing that. Has anyone got a false RFE who DID send the two together I wonder? I mean, if NVC only inputted the one yesterday. I can't do ANYTHING until I call in 3 hours time. Nightmare...

Hi Val, our AOS and DS230 were both mailed on the same day but we also got a False RFE. they reviewed our DS230 March 23 and our AOS March 25. so no need to worry :)

Thanks Saylin, I thought so, just wanted to make sure :)

So that's it, just medical and interview and we are done! Really? Can't believe it LOL

Yup, just the medical and interview left for you. That's all that's left. Really, really. yes.gif

rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

laughing.giflaughing.gif I'm getting a different ad. They differ every time you go on I believe. That's a pretty funny ad to see though here on VJ where most of us are already in relationships.

Thanks Laraeyes.

I'm glad it was something small and that you are able to email it in. Good luck! I hope they finish reviewing your case this week and gets sent to London immediately.

Unless there is risk of extreme physical harm to someone in the immediate future, it makes no sense to request expedite based on your timeline, IMHO.

The case will be at Embassy soon, why take it out of normal processing line and risk it being misplaced?

Does AVR says "Received the checklist and would take 6-8 weeks for review for IV documents. Does they take so long to review IV documents? Please advice. Thanks

6-8 weeks is just a really general timeframe given by NVC and its operators. They want to cover their behinds just in case. Usually it takes about 2 weeks for them to review a package once it's been sent in.
