NVC will assign a case number when they receive your petition from USCIS. Give it 3 or 4 days, and call NVC at (603) 334-0700. In my case I received an email from USCIS stating that my petition was approved on the 8th, and had been sent to the NVC. I called NVC on the 12th, and the phone robot gave me my case number, and said that it had been assigned on the 11th.

Do I need to wait for USCIS to mail me that they already shipped my papers to NVC?

On their email to me about my approval its on post decision activity already ( on feb 11 we mailed you your approval ), and i have read that post decision activity means shipping to NVC. I'm just confused.

Or ill just call NVC by friday for the NVC number?

yes you are a bit confused lol...no you do not need to wait to get it in the mail...actually they will not send you a notice by mail that they shipped it. It SHOULD be updated online at the USCIS website when it is shipped (look to previous pages in this thread for an example of what that looks like). Even if it is not updated online in a few days, just call the automated system and find out if you have a case number. Post decision activity includes shipping it to NVC, but that doesnt mean that it has been shipped yet...you will see that step as I already mentioned above. It is very simple, it just sounds complicated at times.

I don't think they always send a second notification when it's shipped. I also got my approval on February 11 (from CSC), and I've already tried the NVC's AVR system just to learn the menu, even though I know there's no way they have a case number for me yet. I'm planning on getting antsy around Tuesday or Wednesday, hehe. I should hope that everyone approved last week will have a case number by Friday at the latest!

As long as you have your case number, you can use the email template and send DS3032. I called NVC this morning, and they said my invoice I.D. number would be assigned "shortly". When I get that I will be able to pay the $88.00 AOS, and the $404.00 IV bill online. Trying to be proactive. Praying that all us TSC hostages will be approved and zip right through NVC!!

We are in the same position Jenny. Nothing for us either. We were promised it was going to be sent last week, but nothing.

Send a short email to Angela,Barrows@dhs.gov asking where your case is.It is a little bit concerning. It could have been sent with no email, or it may not have been sent.

Many cases last week made it to NVC within 2 days.

I have the same situation here. Supposedly approved on the 25th of January and then nothing more heard. I think that they sent out the approvals before actually being approved to buy more time (for themselves) - both from my senator and congresswoman.
