IF we mention about financial hardship, won't it cound work against during the interview? Thanks

It doesnt matter to me, because I have a co-sponsor...maybe it would work against you if you are the sole sponsor, but I doubt it. It is very hard to live in California with 125 % of the poverty level for 2 people, so I am sure they would understand if you said you are struggling.

Dear All - will I be able to see if/when NVC enters my AOS and IV Package into their system? Or is this something you could only get from an operator when you call? I've submitted AOS and IV package yesterday and today received FedEx confirmation that NVC has received it.

You will only be able to tell from an operator. Sometimes the AVR updates when they receive it, but don't depend on the AVR. Calling an operator is your best bet to know when the packages are entered into the system.

Only the medicals, and at the consulate nothing.

Are you sure? I thought you had to pay there for them to ship your passport back to you.

For Canada, they ship the passport and visa back by DHL. It's free, but you have to pick it up at designated DHL locations. They have recently given an option for it to be shipped to your doorstep, but it's about $15. Read all about it here: http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courier_information

you lucky Canadians! It takes about 4 days (at least) for them to mail it to you in Colombia, and of course..like everything else I have encountered so far...you have to pay for it! Also, they make it a total pain in the butt to pick it up at Domesa locations (equivalent of DHL), which would actually be better for us since the mail system in Colombia can be quite shaky.

Yes, I'm so glad they switched to DHL last year and that we don't have to pay for the service. It can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to get it here in Canada. It depends how fast the visa is printed and then where in Canada it's getting shipped to. I live in Montreal, so it won't take long for the visa to ship from the consulate to the DHL location. Then it's just a 40 minute drive from my house to pick it up. And unlike other countries (like Columbia), the mail system here is pretty reliable.

Have you called and spoken with an operator? Yesterday they told me it was because the fee had not been invoiced yet and to wait a couple of day  . i wander if it is a computer glitch, i will call again today and see what happened.
