Hi guys,

Im finishing up my IV package i just need to add my case number on the upper right corner of all documents, is it ok to use a blue pen or must be a black one (same question for the signature), sorry for this silly question  but i dont wanna get any RFE that might delay my application again.

For writing the case number, you can write in whatever color you want, it doesn't matter.

BUT, when you do signatures, make sure it's in blue ink. If it's in black, NVC might assume it's a photocopy and issue an RFE. So, always sign in blue ink.

Just Received my NVC case number as well as IIN also. Should i asked my wife right now to send DS-3032 email?

Grats! kicking.gif

Emailed the Choice of Agent form but never got the automated response, so I'm mailing off the signed hard copy today via standard mail. Just in case! Gotta have my bases covered! ;)

Weirdly, I never got an auto-response from NVc Inquiry when I emailed them a question last week. But whenever I emailed NVC Electronic (for EP), I always got an auto-response. Interesting...

Sent AOS and IV. USPS Express mail, should be in NVS by 12pm tomorrow

Grats! Now back to the waiting game! laughing.gif

My husband ended up signing with black ink, but I don't think it looks like a photocopy. I made a photocopy of it to keep for myself and I can see a clear difference between the two. Oh well, I'll just hope for the best!

I hope NVC thinks it's not a photocopy as well!

Since the instructions specify BLACK ink, I don't think you will have a problem. I used black ink on all the forms submitted to USCIS and NVC with no problems. An original signature leaves an impression on the back of the paper that would not be present on a photocopy. If I worked at USCIS or NVC I would give a RFE for those signed in blue ink for not following instructions.

Ok, I looked all over the instructions saying you had to sign in black ink, but couldn't find it. Can you help me out? What page on the instructions did it say? Can't believe I missed it saying that you had to sign in black ink...

I am in a difficult situation. When I filed my fathers I-130 I was employed and making good money. Last month I got laid off and only have paycheck stubs until Feb. I have few leads and hoping to finalized within week or so.

Saylin you kind of answer my question regarding waiting to do AOS after I start new work. I just paid my Immigration process fee $404 to keep the ball rolling. I am planning to do a I-864EZ since I will be the only sole provider and support for father.

Is there negative effect if I wait 2 or so weeks even though, I just paid my processing fee.

Nope, no negative effect. The AOS and IV are separate tracks. If you want, you can even send in the IV package first when it's ready and then send in the AOS later. As long as NVC gets both packages, they don't care what order they get it in.
