Yes I believe that as DS-230 is not in system so i think this could be missing information,

What is pasport certificate clearance? When do we need it? Do we need to send with IV documents? I am worried now. Thanks in advance

I believe that's needed by Indian beneficiaries for the IV package.

I have a original and tranlated birth certificate for my wife. She has that translated a while back. But I do not have statement from translator saying that

•Translation is accurate, and

•Translator is competent to translate.

Do I need the statement?

Does my spouse need citizenship cerificate too? thanks

If you see my timeline, I only sent my IV package on 3/3. So I think I still have some waiting time.

I believe you should have SIF anytime. Some of my mom's documents have some spelling mistakes. SO I could get an RFE for that.

I want to clear up something.

Lets say after the I-864 and everything is fine and my father gets the OK and get invited to the interview. Does he needs to bring both my and his original birth certificate to embassy?

Is your father a co-sponsor? Or?

For the statement, I'm not entirely sure, but I think so.

If your spouse is the beneficiary, she only needs to send in her birth certificate. Was she not born in the country she's residing in now?

I have returned once again!

Today two NVC operators confirmed that my case was indeed delivered on 2/28/11 and that I should have a case # by next week. This is the first time that I was given a date on when it was delivered so I'm feeling optimistic.

Finally!

Yeah my wife is from gujarat but she lives in Mumbai. She will get her passport clearanec certificate in two days from mumbai passport office. As far as local police certificate is concerned, she will get by next week. Gettig PCC was a nightmare experience for my wife.

Thanks for the info. I haven't heard of the passport clearance certificate before. Is this something needed to send in with the DS-230?

Did your wife get a new passport with a name change after you guys got married?

Oh your right! I didn't realize that you sent your IV after me because our AOS got input within days. Im' really hoping for a SIF and CC by the end of this week. You should be done too by next week or so.

She was born outside the United States. She has birth certificate writeen in differnt language. I have her translated birth certificate. I do not have statement from translator though. Any suggestions? thanks
