My Fiance' and I are very excited! After waiting 7 months. We finally received our NOA2. We have been approved!

Now what? From what I gather... We wait until the information is sent to the US embassy in Ukraine? (takes about 2-4 weeks?) What documents should we be getting together while we wait? I know theres some form of proof of income req... I haven't filed my 2010 taxes yet. Is there some other form of proof I can supply? (I am self employed)

P.S. Did I mention we are very excited?!!!

Wow, congrats! I'm very happy for the both of you. It certainly was a long wait. From what I have read on this site, you will be reunited with your fiancee very soon. The time will go fast as you have some documents to gather. Will you be in Kiev for the interview?

Thank you all! We were so excited to receive our NOA2. We are gathering the rest of the documents needed now. And yes, I hope to go to Kiev along with her, and bring her back with me to the states...!

If you haven't already, go to the Kiev embassy website http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/visa-forms.html. They have a list of documents that are included in the Fiance(e) packet, including a checklist of what you need. They have the same information available in Ukrainian on the site if it's helpful. If called the call center their before as well, and while it's a little expensive to talk to them, they were very helpful.

I have one question about the DS-156 form maybe someone can help with ... when they ask for the passport number do they want the passport book number or the actual passport number? I believe in Ukraine the actual passport number is the same as the National ID number, which is asked for seperately. Does anyone know what they want here?
