pls help, my fiance laptop shut down and he lost our chat archive since our first chat and i dont have file of it because i use internet cafe or uzzap(smart network internet in phone using gprs)..is it ok to bring the latest chat archives?..he said he will make letter of explanation to the consul in case they will ask why we have few chat archives..is this acceptable?...

Do you have records of phone calls? As long as you present some evidence that you have been in communication you should be fine. Personally I'm just including SMS/Call records (I do call her every day for ~1 hour) and excluding the chat archive.

don't forget the pictures girl and if you have emails don't worry if it's just a recent conversation as long as you two will prove that you have a bona fide relationship everything will be okay .

alright its easy to solve this problem in case ur Fiance has some knowledge about computers all he need is to take the Hard drive from the crushed Laptop and connect it to another desktop or laptop computer using an external USB box for this Hard Drive then he can have the access to all his Data Pic,Videos,Archive Chatting.... he can use some videos on Youtube to see exactly how he can fix this.its better than to be in bad panic for ur Interview day. good Luck

You might get lucky and be able to retrieve them! When I was in Manila a few months ago my laptop crashed on me. I took it to Sta Lucia and for P1200 had it fixed data and all.

There are also other options...

We don't have any chat logs, but then again I think we are probably going through an easier embassy than Manila.

We have phone bills and many emails - I was just going to take a screen shot of my inbox with those exchanges and print out a few emails.

If you both communicate through facebook then there is a new function called "See Friendship" - it's also an idea to take screenshots from this.

We didn't have any chat archives , my husband is so computer illiterate. They aren't required.
