for bio apt--need original ltr or copy OK?

I seem to have misplaced our original biometrics apt letter during our recent move. Will my husband still be accepted at his appointment with a copy of the apt letter?

Photo copy should be fine, as far as I know.

They won't let you in if you don't have it. Schedule an infopass and see if

(1) you can do that prior to your appointment.

(2) if they can reproduce your biometrics letter to take.

Otherwise, you need to call the 800 number and request them to reissue the letter (or even reschedule) it if is getting too close!

I would call USCIS and ask them to Fax it to you. We never received our Bio Letter, and USCIS faxed it and we had no issues.

That sounds better than running to field office on an info pass appointment.

I would call USCIS explain that have a photo-copy too, this is much the same as a FAX.

According to USCIS, you must have your original. Schedule an info pass appointment with your local office immediately.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We did our biometrics early in Alexandria on Jan 31 and they had no problem accepting and stamping the apt letter copy. According to that particular office, no need for the original (especially since bringing the original is not stipulated in the actual letter). Hope this can help anyone in a similar situation.
