If I make a trip which will be my 4th trip to Vietnam and put in my timeline. Will it increase my chances of getting pink? Has anyone tried it before? Will it make a difference.

Been done and does not increase the chance for a pink. The best chances for a pink are taken before one even submits the application for a visa and then when that application is sent and prepping the fiancee/married for the interview. Now it is just needed to get that requested info sent in and see if a pink is coming.

The only thing you can do now is to gather the documents they are requesting and submit it on the date(s) marked on the blue slip. Nobody can really be sure why they want the things they want. Most likely they are a little skeptical and need those documents to make a better decision. It appears your interview was short and pleasant which could be a good sign. Give them what they want and find out in a month or so if you will get the pink.....which I think you will :)

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

11/11/09 - 11/21/09-----> Second meeting (Japan)

2/7/10 - 2/14/10-----> Third meeting (Vietnam) (First trip to Vietnam)

4/1/10 - 4/11/10-----> Fourth meeting (Vietnam) (Second trip to Vietnam)

5/5/10-----> I-129F: NOA1

8/27/10-----> NOA2

12/20/10-----> Interview Date

Tôi biết nó, đồng bào miền Bắc này biết nó

Việc nó làm, tội nó phạm ra sao

Nó đầu tiên đem râu nó bện vào

Bàn tay Nga đầy băng tuyết giá

Cũng nhoài qua lục địa Trung Hoa

Không phải xoa đầu mà túm tóc nó từ xa

Nó đứng không yên, tất bật, điên đầu

I think that each item listed on the blue slip for which they ask you to notarize it, would mean you would notarize each separately. 1 stamp for each required item on the blue slip.

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

No. Do each thing they require separately. And has been said before every bank will notarize free if you have an account. I do it often and just go in and say I have an account and need something notarized and they just have me sign a book and then notarize my signature..

No guarantees is a better response. I made a 4th trip (in Aug/Sept) and my husband got pink (in Oct). Do I think it was because I went back, no. I believe it was my ability to communicate and get my point across when I visited the consulate and emailed them...but again, no guarantees.

CR1/IR1 Timeline:

[*]12-xx-2007 - 1st Trip (6wks) & Met him halfway around the world

What information on the blue slip that requested for your case? Is it possible that they request for any new evidence of bona fide relationship and that you happen to show up with your husband to turn in the info from blue slip to satisfy that request? I'm just curious about this blue slip business.

For the 10 year residency of my fiancee in Vietnam. Is it better for her to write it in Vietnamese then have it translate English then notarize?

I have prepare for her the document already in English then she can get it notarize but will that be good enough for them to take it?

I disagree. It is not REQUIRED to make more than ONE trip, however, ANY trip adds to the legitimacy of a relationship. Telling someone that it wont help is bad advice as far as I am concerned. It might not be proven that it helps because the requirement clearly states you only have to have met once in the previous 2 years when you file. You make good points about interview prep, and things PRIOR to the interview, but once the interview is complete, and even once you have sent in the petition any and every trip does still have an impact on the case. In our case our CO lied but baring a bad CO each and every trip prior to, and after a person files does have some sort of affect on any petition, and anyone thinking differently really needs to look at it objectively.

When you are here for your 4th trip, bring what they need, and prior to her submitting the evidence I would have you go in, and ask about the required items, and just to talk to the CO if possible, and even have the evidence that you are to submit with you and if possible you might be able to submit it at that time in person. One this will allow them to have in their case file that you were there prior to her submitting things, and sometimes this can affect the outcome, be for warned that if you do show up and talk to a CO they might ask you questions and if your answers differ from hers, this would hurt greatly. But the choice is yours as to what you do. Either way, right now you are the one that will always wonder what you did or did not do, and could have or should have done. This is your life, take control and good luck! Jerome
