get online an talk and use the webcam!! way better than using just a phone and alot cheaper.

If you use broad-band internet use Skype it allows you to call others using Skype for free any where in the world, and call land-line phones for very low rates, example USA-China is .021 per minute.

I use Skype to talk with my girl in China we talk for hours for $0.00 per minute, she just goes to the local cyber cafe, or uses the computer at the school that she teaches at. Or I can call her cell phone for cheap $0.021 per minute though she still has to pay the local calling rate for her cell phone.

I agree with what was stated earlier. Get Skype. That's what my fiancee' and I use and we talk just about every night. I can't imagine what a phone bill would be like if we talked regularly on a real telephone. It would probably run up over $100 just in one night. x.x Yes, Skype good.

If she has a broadband connection at home get her a vonage. Then she will have an American local number right there in her house. You can call it from any phone and she can call anywhere in the USA for free! Talk as long as you want!! I did it and it cost's me $17.50/month. I used to have $300 phone bills and I tell you that this is MUCH better. Plus we can talk as long as we want and as much as we want!! If she does not have broadband then get it for her! Even adding the extra $40/month for the broadband is still way cheaper than a $500 phone bill!!

It is SO COOL to be able to pick up the phone, call Luz and talk without thinking about the bill. She calls my cell phone at work all the time also. It really takes the pressure of the $300 phone bills off. I liked it so much that I got it for my home also. Zero problems associated with the Vonage. Her DSL is a bit twitchy but still well worth it!!
