After two weeks from the date we sent our I-130, we sent the 129-F for K3. And it took longer than usual. We tried to cancel our 129-F in the middle of the process but the customer rep told us that the 129-F expedites our I-130 so we trust him on that. 5 months passed and still nothing while everyone above and below our receipt number got their approvals already. So we contacted the Congress for help and an immigration specialist from the Congress helped us. She found out that the cause of the delay of our I-130 is that when they got our 129-F, they pulled the I-130 and joined it to 129-F and put it in a later date processing. That was why our case wasn't looked up yet as 129-F in VSC is lagging so bad. So the office of the Congress requested our case to be expedited which was granted by the VSC and was told that we should hear before January ends. Few days to go! Let's see!

I just thought of sharing this to help everyone that has the same situation like ours. Soon, this wait will be all over!

God bless us all!

Thanks for the excellent report. I've been saying this is what happens more times than I can guess but certainly more than a hundred times since November 2006, when USCIS started doing exactly as you describe above. Filing the I-129F hasn't saved more than a few weeks for more than four years and for the last year has ONLY delayed the reunification of families.

I'm stressing that this is how VSC does. I don't know about CSC as I've noticed that it is going well there now. I'm not sure though. I hope this info helps everyone. We're so glad the Congress helped us and fighting for our case. We can't wait for this month to end to see if VSC is true to their word. But as for yesterday, the US Senator Collin's office (oh yea, they helped us too) and the Congress called and gave the same info that our papers are now in the hands of the immigration officer as they said they will pull it out from the file.

Thank you so much for the report from the field !

I say this exact thing, on occassion (pull the I-130 out of it's position in current queue, go to end of the line in new queue with the I-129F )

Hopefully ppl can READ your report and learn from it.

Thanks so much !
