Hey everyone..

Im filling out form I-485 and I have a question about PArt 1 where it asks me what my USCIS current status is I put K1 visa holder and then where it says Expires on... should I put the date when my K1 visa expires or when My I-94 expires...

my visa expires in february and my I-94 expired january 1st 2011...

Feb 18, 2011: Received AP!!!! YAY!!!!

Feb 22, 2011: Received EAD!!!!

Feb 22, 2011: Received letter for 2nd fingerprints :(

Mar 17, 2011: 2nd fingerprints

May 02, 2011: AOS Interview Approved!!!!!!

May 07, 2011: Received "Welcome to America" letter

May 09, 2011: Received Green Card. Yay!!!!!

You put your I-94 date, not your K1 visa date. The K1 visa is "dead" once you arrive and I-94 date is what matters.

Don't worry about your I-94 being expired. Mine expired Dec 2009 and I applied April 2010. Absolutely zero issues (as long as you married in the 90 days of course which is what they're looking at)

p.s. The example posted above shows you it's the I-94 date that you write in expiry section as it's 3 months from the arrival date.

I doubt it really matters honestly. If they really cared they'd have written "K1 visa expiry date". I think they just assume people realise it's for the I-94 as it's following the I-94 info.

Yep, K-1 exp date has to do with by when you need to use the visa to enter the USA, it has nothing to do with when you need to adjust status. The exp date the I-485 is asking to is I-94 date, this is the date you become out of status.
