ok so we finally sent our application for the k-1 i would like to know when are we gonna hear from them??? should we call them to find out if they got it or not??

[*]june2009: met online

[*]july 28 2009: start dating

[*]october 09 2009: met in person

[*]oct 11 2009:he proposed :D i know crazy lol

[*]october 28 2009: deployment to iraq :(

[*]november 05 2010: visit to mexico for 20 days :D

[*]november 25 2010: last time i hold him :(

[*]january 18 2011: k-1 sent

[*]feb 09 2011:NOA1

[*]june 03 2011: NOA2 :D

[*]july 1st 2011: packet 3 yayy

[*]august 18 2011: interview! hoping for the best

[*]august 18 2011: APROVED :D

[*]sepyember 3 2011: POE

[*]september 6 2011: marriage yayy

ok so we finally sent our application for the k-1 i would like to know when are we gonna hear from them??? should we call them to find out if they got it or not??

Typically you will get a NOA1 in about 2 weeks. If you filled out the electronic form you possibly will hear sooner, although that does not always happen. If you sent in a check, look for it to clear your bank, as that is an indication they accepted the petition. If they reject it for some reason, the check will not be cashed.

Also, review and join this forum of January filers. Many of your questions likely will be answered, and you can follow along with our group and know when you are likely due up for your NAO2 approval.

Its only been 4 business days since you sent it off, have patience. You should get your NOA1 very soon.

Yea as already advised, It is too soon to start calling. Wait for the personal check you sent to clear, that will tell you they've gotten it. I had to wait up to 3 weeks before I received my NOA 1. You have a long wait ahead so don't start worrying too soon yet.
