Letter from CSC

Just thought I would share this here. 2 months ago before I found this site I sent a certified letter to CSC asking why they transferred my case from NSC to CSC. I was told to do this by an Immigration Officer at USCIS after one of the Customer Serveice people said I should talk to one. After I told him my case was transferred and I thought it was a mistake he told me to send the certified letter.

Here is the reponse I just received:

You recently submitted an inquiry to the CSC via fax or letter. However, USCIS has launched a new referral tracking system through our 1-800 number. To ensure customer inquiries are handled effectively and quickly as possible, we are no longer accepting inquiries via fax or letter. Instead, we ask that you call our National Customer Service Center, which is available M-F 8AM-5PM, PST at 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will forward and track your inquiry with us to resolution.

Please note that we will continue to accept expedite requests via fax at ###. Expedite requests must meet the strict criteria noted on our website at www.uscis.gov.

Please note that USCIS provides case status inquiry service on our website at www.uscis.gov. Finally, the USCIS website also includes a chart that reports current processing dates for particular applications and petitions in relations to the date the application or petition was filed. The USCIS processes cases in the order received. Due to the high workload your case may be pending while USCIS woks on applications and petitions that were filed earlier than yours.

Thank You

So there ya go. I'm not sure what to make of it. More mumbo jumbo or is the part I bolded really mean something? Maybe I'm reading to much into it, I have no clue.

Actually both. It is mumbo jumbo saying "you wanna know the status of your case, call us at this number"--unfortunately, said number is well-known on VJ as the mis-information (or gobbledygook) line.

As long as the LORD's beside me, I don't care if this road ever ends.

True that!! It would be nice if one could actually call USCIS and get some decent information. I have, in the past, recommended that others call for information. Still hoping that someday the line will become useful.

I believe the correct translation into english is "Sorry, but you've wasted your time because we do not have the ability to actually answer questions".

Seriously, since you sent that 2 months ago and they are just now answering you with a non-answer, I highly doubt anyone is "tracking your inquiry to resolution". The good news is that you already know the reason that your file was transferred (thank god for VJ). The bad news is that we have very clear and concrete proof (not like we needed it) that CSC is incapable of answering questions or providing clear information. :(

Yeah I know lol. Took them 2 months to say "oh you will need to call our 800 number for that". And then they make it sound like they will actually give some kind of official answer to your phone inquiry. Which I know from my own experience and all the other VJ'ers that this not the case. Maybe this is the source of those mysterious "We have responded your inquiry blah blah blah emails that seem to come from nowhere and go nowhere that some VJ'ers have received LOL.
