hi, I just noticed that our joint sponsor has both her name and her husbands name on her tax return because they had a joint return, but she only filed out the I-864 with her information. Is this ok, or will I have problems? I want to send this in tomorrow, so any answers would really help thank you.

hi, I just noticed that our joint sponsor has both her name and her husbands name on her tax return because they had a joint return, but she only filed out the I-864 with her information. Is this ok, or will I have problems? I want to send this in tomorrow, so any answers would really help thank you.

I also have a co-sponsor, my brother, and he filed his tax jointly with his wife. We didn't have a problem about it because we also submitted my brother's W-2 and pay stubs. But he was required to submit a new I-864 because he rounded off his income to the nearest thousand on the I-864 part 25. He sent it last week so right now I'm waiting and hoping that my case will be closed soon.

You're welcome. Please do not forget also to include a copy of your co-sponsor's proof of citizenship if USC or a copy of his green card of LPR and also his employment letter that states his salary, date of employment and employers contact information printed on the company's letterhead.

Make sure you send your join sponsor's proof of citizenship or legal status. Either copy of USC certificate or green card. Otherwise you're going to get an RFE.

Red-ed and bold-ed for emphasis. Because this bit of info is hard to come-by.

01-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form fee check cashed by USCIS

09-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form NOA1 notice date

14-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form NOA1 on hand through USPS

30-JAN-2017 -:- N400 fingerprint taken

01-FEB-2017 -:- N400 interview schedule process started

26-JUL-2017 -:- N400 interview date set (01SEP2017)

29-JUL-2017 -:- N400 interview letter on hand
