The K1 visa is valid for entry into America for 6 months.

April, 2009 - We met

May, 2009 - We wooed

June, 2010 - We got engaged, looking forward to a small August 2010 wedding

** Reality Check: K-1 Process**

July 22, 2010 - NOA1

**5 months of patient waiting**

December 29, 2011 - call around for information about delay

January 5, 2011 - RFE notice (first online status update yet!)

January 10, 2011 - RFE Hardcopy

January 13, 2011 - RFE Response acknowledged

January 24, 2011 - NOA2 (at last!!)

February 3, 2011 - application sent from NVC to Montreal (aka. the Abyss?)

March 7, 2011 - Packet 3 sent to me

March 10, 2011 - Packet 3 delivered to Montreal

March 21, 2011 - Packet 4 sent to me

April 5, 2011 - Medical

April 13, 2011 - Interview - approved!

April 20, 2011 - visa in hand

May 9, 2011 - POE (Buffalo, NY)

May 10, 2011 - wedding :)

Once my fiance is approved by the Manila Embassy to come over to the USA, what is the timeframe within which she must fly?

Once she is approved and receives K1 visa in hand it is valid for 6 months one entry only. She and you then have 90 days to marry and then you can AOS.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

in most case 6 months to use it once in hand. If your fiancee did an advanced medical it could be shorter. It is kinda hit and miss on this from the Embassy in Manila. I know people that did advanced medical and they still had 6 months from visa issue. My wife did advanced medical (passed with no problems) and her visa was good for 6 months from the medical date not from her interview or issue date. You will have to have your fiancee look at her visa when she gets it to know 100% how long you got. Dont just assume 6 months.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
