What hate speech? The vid I posted was a "teaching tool" produced by gays..... to show educators -how it's done.

I am not sure how "in touch" those condemning this scheme are with British education or the zeitgeist of playground attitudes.

Having recently completed my schooling in Britain (1992-2006), I would say a great deal more can and should be done to raise awareness of gay issues and homosexuality in general. Most children are to a small (and innocent) extent homophobic. In the primary and secondary tiers, "gay" is an ubiquitous schoolyard insult, and I have witnessed films shown in class or plays attended on trips be drowned in jeers or laughter when they touch on gay content.

You can either accept that this will always be the case, or endeavour to teach children that homosexuality is as natural and acceptable a part of a person's identity as race, color or creed.

Did the fact pass you by in life that ... for most people, Homosexuality is "not" natural nor acceptable?

Even in the countries which are more accepting of various sexual practices.... still a sizable number of people do not see men playing man and wife it as normal.

An even larger percent of people feel the school has no business wading into areas such as this, especially with children as young as they are trying to reach.
