Applying for FAFSA

Hi,

I have two question. Not sure if this is the best place to ask, so sorry in advance.

1. I have a F-1 visa, but I'm on the process of getting my GC (Interview is next month). I never paid taxes while J-1 or F-1 (never was told I should have), and I don't have a job (just babysitting here and there). I'm planning on transferring my credits to a University in the Fall. Can I apply for FAFSA (Financial Aid from the Government)? Because I know you have to show your taxes or something like that. Can I show my husband's taxes (we got married in October, so this is the first year we'll fill out as married)?

2. Actually, can we fill out taxes together for the 2010 year? If so, do I have to declare the cash I made from babysitting even though I don't have a W2?

I hope someone can help me with these. No idea with the taxes laws here :(

Thanks,

Vivi
