Me and my Beau had a interview date on sept 14 2010for K1 visa. after the paper work phase we were called to window 18 a lady with blonde hair asked us some Q's then told us to go to window 11. Then we were questioned by a man who was rude and was told that If we cant answer simple questions then our relationship was not real. They never looked at any of the proof that was brought. They asked my fiance what is my mothers middle name, when she does not have one!). We knew something was wrong when we were told to wait for 1 more hour. Then we were called by the same lady who gave him a yellow paper and had 221(g)circled. When we asked the CO what that meant she said that we would rcv a letter. When we asked from whom she said you will rvc a letter in the mail.

Obivously she didnt answer the question nor did she complete the form correctly because no one can tell us who to call to find out our status. Can any one help us?

P.S. in the left hand corner of the form the last box was checked which says something about recv a letter from security we we dont know if its from DR or USA?

Only looking UP! Mr.&Mrs.DLRosa

I know this is a 221(g) question, but you might ask it again in the K1 forum for more helpful answers. It appears from what you describe there was a secondary interview because the consular personnel believes you do not have a bonafide relationship. Typically they send the paperwork back to USCIS to verify but often they let the petition expire. It may cause a negative marker in your file as well. You might consult an attorney on this. By now you should have recieved a letter with more explanation.

Something threw up a red flag , you should contact an attorney familiar with this type of situation.

The interview was back in September and you have yet to receive the letter? You have not received anything? What does the yellow piece of paper say? Why did they interview you at window 11 (investigations) after interviewing you at a regular window? Were there discrepancies in your responses? Are there any fraud indicators such as a great age difference, or have you filed for K1s in the past, or has your fiance applied for and been denied visas to the US? Please give more detail about your interview and the paper you received. You might want to ask your question in www.dominicanstotheusa.com and hope that an experienced member or moderator can answer your question or they could perhaps recommend a lawyer knowledgeable of how the DR consulate works.
