I am on the process of preparing my I-864 Affidavit of Support for my mom's petition. My husband and I filed jointly for all of our tax returns. My W2 income on my full time job is enough for the household size of 3(me, husband and mom) . But I have a sideline income online (not that much),have 1099 and have filed on our tax returns.

Here are my questions:

* Can I use my W2 income alone and not the 1099?

* On I-864 AOS Part 6 no.22 asking about Sponsor's Income and employment. Since I have an income from self employment but don't want to use it. Do I still have to check 22.b as self employed? or just 22.a as employed?

Thank you for your :help:

You disclose the truth. You cannot pick and choose. If the information you declare is different from your tax return, you will only create problems for your mother.

You need to declare all your income. You will sign the I-864 under perjury of law as to all the information being truthful.

If you earn $30,000 on your W-2 and $2,000 on your 1099, your income is $32,000. It is not $30,000.

Do you think I can use I-864EZ since I am only using my own income?
