Don't worry so much. I've been through Atlanta twice and they were so nice to me. They even made jokes and laughed so hard when I panicked because I didn't get it at first :D :D

Given that you are a student coming over on the VWP for almost 3 months, Finances could be the biggest concern for the border agent. They'll want to be sure that you won't work during your three month visit.

If you have credit cards, or a debit card, stress that to the agent. That way they won't expect you to be carrying enough cash or travelers checks to support yourself for 3 months.

It is always good to carry some proof of ties with you but I don't think you should worry too much.

I visited my fiancee ( gf back then) 5 times in the last two years. The first three trips was on B-2 visa, the last two trips were on VWP. The trips were about 2-3 weeks on an average, one trip was 2 months. Never had any problem getting through the border.

I never ever carried anything else with me than a copy of my flight itinerary because back then I wasn't not aware that you could be denied entry even when you have a visa lol..

I am a college student as well and if I have to say, I faced the most scrutiny on the first trip to the USA, they asked to see my return ticket and where and who I was going to stay with.

Subsequent trips really got easier and easier especially on VWP, usually I was just asked how long I intend to stay and what I am doing in Denmark, never asked to show anything after that first trip.

I was denied twice. Once for not having enough ties to Canada and once for presumed immigrant intent (married to a US citizen)

Good luck

I was too, for the same reasons. Now I always travel with my lease, bills, and employment letter...

Oh the joys of traveling!

Always be grateful, thankful and appreciate what you have.

Hey Nastya, I was as much worried as you to enter the US first time. I have brought a full bunch of evidence with me which I was never asked for and everything went just fine. However to be on the safe side bring everything you can. To the already mentioned here I would add take affidavit letters from your parents that they are aware of your trip mentioning the exact dates of travel and real estate ownership letters if they have ones. I wouldn't say you are visiting your bf without being asked for this directly. POE officer usually asks for the purpose of the visit: business or pleasure. Ah yes and remember don't take a lot of luggage with you making them think you are relocating permanently!

Visa is the easiest part! Real challenge starts after!
