I haven't had a touch - I thought I did, but I was mistaken. It can take 2-3 weeks for petitions to be sent to NVC, especially when dealing with CSC.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

 wooooo! well, i did NOT receive a touch, BUT i just received an email from the nvc indicating that they received our petition today--3 weeks exactly. she indicated that if i call again, i will not get any info on our case from the automated system. she also said that it will take 2-4 weeks to get to the embassy, but i believe that is what they are telling everybody, no? woooo! i just called carlos and he was at wok in bogota's zona t enjoying coconut salmon...i think he damn near choked on that salmon when i told him that we received our case number from nvc. we are crossing our fingers that he will be here in chicago by halloween....gooood luck to everybody!!!!!

Are you sure you get an email when NVC receives the case from USCIS? My case has seen the inside of NVC the last time it was approved, but since that was 4 months ago, I don't remember if I got an email too. Now that it's re-approved, it's kind of important for me now to know when my case arrives to NVC because I have to change address. Though I emailed them with CIS receipt number and called them and they said they changed it, they also recommended I call when the case is actually there.

They won't e-mail you if you don't e-mail them. They take a few days to reply, but they'll eventually do. But I think calling is the best option. You can make reference to the NVC case number, it remains the same for us recalled cases.
