In response to a question that was posted on my profile in reference to CO's reading a board like VJ -- here is my answer

there have reportedly been situations where CO's have seemed to have read VJ. There have been people who were on here a while ago who have much more knowledge about that than I do.

do i think they really read boards like VJ? Maybe, probably, who knows? Those in Morocco likely read publications like wafin b/c it's specific to Morocco and didn't wafin sponsor the CO who's on youtube? Wasn't that at a wafin sponsored event? (I could be wrong about that).

Do I think it means their losers and have no lives? No idea; that's a negative way of looking at it. A very positive way of looking at it is they are trying to be very dedicated to their jobs, no? I guess there's positive and negative in every consulate.

I answered the question here b/c I don't often check my profile. So, it's more likely I'd see any responses or more questions in a thread.

Actually, many do read vj - especially regional boards and the k1/cr1/and aos boards. There have been occasional posts from COs over the years. It is very easy for them to know who is interviewing and such. How many people say the date and time of their interview, along with the name of their man. Not too difficult to figure out.

Well at this point I'm so despondent I really don't care what this consulate does anymore. They have shown their...... I'll say it again, I can live anywhere I want to live as long as I have a good air conditioner and heater. I was told very specifically by USCIS that if they prejudice me because of my attitude I can file a complaint with USCIS.

But if it's the consulate you're referring to, they can tell who we all are by our timelines anyway - just looking at a few key dates is enough for them to know who is who...

So what is the consulate going to do to you - fire you? Listen, they are PUBLIC SERVANTS -just like the president - a public servant. They are no better than we are and their _____ smells the same as yours and mine! If an individual is not doing fraudulent things what's the problem? What do they want us to do - lie? You know what I think - I think I'm older than anyone else on this Board and I don't give a tinkers toot about these people and their stupid regime of questions. My husband is my husband is my husband no matter what they want to call him. We have a marriage license and we can live in Morocco happily ever after and I can forget I ever heard of these people.

On a lighter note, good luck finding a good air conditioner and heater in Morocco! :) I tried so hard just to find a fan when it was 104 degrees, they thought I was crazy. Some of the nicer apartments have A/C, I know, but nothing like the Carrier units we're used to over here.. whew, it got hot over there with no air moving :P

And, it was freeeeeeezzzzzing inside in the winter!!!

Bone chilling, bone aching cold inside! And, the freaky thing was it'd be 50 or 60 degrees outside. Ugh. I Don't miss January in Morocco!

It's those stone houses. Don't warm up until late afternoon, then cool quickly at night. Those fuzzy blankets are THE BEST. And the big flannel pantsuits are awesome too

OMFG!!....hahaha, just experienced this!!!! was so beautiful outside, could NOT believe how much we had to bundle up inside...was CRAZY! I don't think I saw my husband's bare chest more than once on my almost 2 week trip!

BUT.... still better than what I came home to last night...freezing rain, with snow banks so high that I have to pretty much pull into the middle of the road to see if cars are coming

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is awesome news!

By the way, take the police and court records with you to the interview. My husband's interview was scheduled pretty quickly after the SIF but it must have been busy at the embassy because it was almost 2 months later that we actually had the interview. By then the records we had sent NVC were expired and he had to go and get them again before they would issue his visa. If you have them that day and translated, it will save you a trip. Also, don't be surprised if you get an interview scheduled before the 3rd week of the month. I know that's what NVC says but they often work more quickly than that. You guys will be notified via email if you gave the NVC your email addresses.

Again, GREAT news! :)
