I agree; I'm in. My husband interviewed a couple of months ago and we're still waiting. There was some movement recently, and we're hoping to hear good news by the end of the month.

I did call the immigration caseworker out of Ohio whose information was posted on another thread. She said that while they aren't really doing a formal inquiry at this point, they are questioning why there are so many denials out of Casa.

Yup, they should question why there are so many denials. We are one of them. I've contacted everyone from Obama on down. Anyone reading this should send their story to WAFIN.COM. It's a Moroccan on-line newspaper with support

as well. It is disgraceful what this consulate is getting away with.

I agree. You just need to put your head up and get through it. Work on your case. Cynical as it sounds, fighting the "injustice" of the consulate doesn't get your fiance/spouse here.

And, this discussion has been on here before, the CO's in Morocco see a bunch of crappy situations over there, and situations that look like obvious fraud to them, so there are those who beleive they are doing the best they can & there are those who think the CO's are horrible and stupid.

Nothing ever came of me contacting the Ohio politician that was supposed to be all over the stuff going on in the Case consulate. What made a difference, I believe, was that I continued to hound them and provide proof of why the decision should be reversed.

The extraneous stuff (newspapers, etc) can really distract from the visa work to be done.

Just another point of view. The process can be really difficult and frustrating. I hope everyone gets relief soon.

Tany - hope your second interview goes well.

Monica - let us know when you hear from Casa! When did USCIS send the case to Casa?

PS - my post that was referenced above was from June. My husband has been here just under 6 months & things are going great :star:

And, as I said - the difference for us was focusing & staying in communication with the consulate, I believe.

Dear God, I hope so! This has been the biggest test I've ever endured. I just keep thinking....one day, one day he will be here. And I try to imagine what our life will be like once we can actually be together everyday and I try to block out any possibility of another denial. OMG. I think it would be the end of me. :crying:

Ok....focusing on the light.....the end of the tunnel sure does seem far away.

It is a test but try to stay positive. Some days that's easier than others, I know.

I hope the light comes quickly for all those waiting. :star:

There's certainly something to be said for enjoying the peace and quiet of living on separate continents!

As many, many, many people have said - once he gets here, in retrospect, the visa stuff can seem like the easy part, as difficult as it is. Because the adjustments once he gets here can make the visa portion of the journey pale in comparision.

Msheesha it left 1/3/2011 from NVC...so it should be there....was gonna wake up early to call, but didn't...lol...tomorrow :-D And I agree with just keeping strong & working through it. I was bitter & resentful at first, but after finding out that over 75% of denials don't refile...I realized they are just testing us & I can't be too upset about that...if anything the denial has made us learn even more about eachother, because it puts u in the hardest place you thought possible...but proving that you can fight through it & survive & actually be stronger afterwards definitely feels good :) I just keeping telling myself "Everything for a reason."

I am an American, my husband Moroccan. He was refused a visa a couple of weeks ago. The state dept official who interviewed him is the SAME woman on the you tube video under American Consulate Casablanca. It's also posted on this site. I was praying he would get her, she seemed so nice on the video. Well she isn't. She was rude,

abusive and depersonalized him. Horribly unprofessional. She told him "it's not real, you're doing this for papers". Disgusting that some low rent state dept official tries to

exercise power over people's lives. I have complained from Obama on down to everyone imaginable. Wafin.com has also posted our story. I've always loved my country but now I'm wondering.....what the heck are they doing???? I know so far this consulate has 33 or 34 complaints sitting in some senators office. I told my senators I want her job. And I want an apology as well for treating my wonderful husband like a cockroach.

Monica - hope you hear something soon.

Malika - I read your story on wafin.com

With all due respect, I think calling the CO mentally ill is ill-advised for you.

The consulate has little accountability, and it's not a stretch to think that they

read something like wafin.com

It's a tough situation to get through, but everyone's experience on here, is really that you have to fight within the system, being focused on your case, to get your husband/fiance here.
