5/18/2010 Interview Results: told to wait for call

6/14/2010 Visa denied per Section 221(g)

9/27/2010 NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) Received

12/1/2010 NOID Reaffirmed & Returned for visa processing (back to Casa for another interview)

2/2/2011 Rebuttle Interview: APPROVED!!!

3/18/2011 VISA IN HAND!!

4/8/2011 Arrive in US through JFK (20 mins total time)

6/9/2011 MARRIED!!!

Have fun celebrating!

Tomorrow, there will be Domino's L'Americaine pizza (for us) and Heinekens :wub: (for me, who's EARNED it after living with my crazy inlaws for 6 months :lol: )

But I'll try that place before I go.. Do you know of any Indian restaurants in Casa? I'd kill for some curry!

01/12/11 - Interview - APPROVED!!!...but AP

01/24/11 - Returned to the states without my habibi :(

04/06/11 - AP was completed!! :)

05/10/11 - Visa has been issued!!!

I have a Casa question for y'all. Now that Casa is requiring I-864's instead of the usual I-134 (or nothing at all) for K-1 applicants, is that first I-864 legally binding? In other words, if you sign the I-864 before the fiance's interview and he gets the visa, when you apply to adjust his status a few months later after you get married in the US, do you have to file a 2nd I-864, or is the first one "the" one?

There's a possibility that my financial and employment status is going to be changing over the next several months, so whether I need a cosponsor or not might change in between the interview and the adjustment of status process.

I'm glad to hear about all these visas in hand, too!

I'd still like to hear whether anyone has info about how many I-864's to file, although perhaps since that's a relatively new policy change no one has gotten that far yet. :)

How exactly does Casablanca schedule the interviews? Is there any input from the beneficiary? Specifically, can we reschedule or delay the interview by a few months? Monica, I believe you switched your interview date, did you feel like there was any negative impact of that? As I mentioned in my last post, my financial and employment situation is going to change in a few months. Going by the historical 6-8 months from filing to interview, we'll be in good shape by interview time, but I've read some posts where VSC is flying through petitions and sending them to the consulate in 1-2 months.
