Not quiet the same sized boat here... but getting there. One thing is for sure: This frustration and waiting game is strengthening the relationship I have with my fiancee. I can't quite explain it, but it is! I will be seeing her again soon and all I can say is... she's going to have to tell me to let go of her at the airport!

I was told to wait till the 28th and call back. This I will do and since looking over the ISO post from another thread, I will be politely escalating to that level. If not, I will take a trip to the Denver office where I was told I could speak to a representative without an appointment (Vet).

As always, when that day comes... I will post the results and progress for other VJ members in hopes that my struggles help.

My daughter is waiting for her fiance to obtain his K1 Visa. Specifically, he has already been through the interview process and it was approved but he is undergoing Additional Administrative Processing (AAP). So far, since the interview, its been 15 months and still they have yet to complete the AAP. He is from Zimbabwe, but living in the UK.

Once AAP is completed, my understanding is that the US Embassy would send an envelope to the address he provided. He would put his passport in the envelope then send it to the US Embassy . The US Embassy would then mail the passport back to him with the visa attached.

But what if he recieves notice to put his passport in the envelope but he is out of the country. His parents are old and he wants to visit them in Zimbabwe. The question is: if he is not in the UK when the US Embassy gives him the green light to mail his passport, will the US Embassy wait or would he have to go through the entire process all over again just because he wasnt't there when the request came through or what?

Need some help.

Follow on question. My daughter's fiance has not tried to leave the UK to visit his parents in Zimbabwe yet, but is a passport flagged when its undergoing additional administrative processing? Is the person free to leave the country?

My daughter has been waiting 15 months after her fiance's interview! It has been in Additional Administrative Processing for 15 months! She emailed the US Embassy in London and they said that there is no timeline or nothing that they could do. He is from Zimbabwe but has been living in the UK since 2000. He has a job etc.

This is getting ridiculous. I don't know what else to do. I've called them, wrote them, contacted my congressman, Nothing. What else can I do. People got their NOA2 before me, whom filed after me. Why is mine taking so long? And my fiance is getting impatient now... I mean who do these people think they are? God? They decide who comes and who don't... I'm just getting very frustrated.!

What else can I do?

It's been almost a year for me. From what I read they don't even bother with you until the 6 month mark. I called exactly one day after the 6 month mark. They took all my information at that time. Very friendly next thing I know I got an RFE within 2 weeks. Answered the RFE and got approved all total. 7 1/2 months. Now I am at the NVC stage. Still waiting, my wife is going crazy.

You will not get anywhere until the 6 months are up. I believe it says after 5 months plus 1 then you can call them. Before that you only going to get a message like call back again in how ever x amount of days until you get to the 6 month mark. Why some people move through faster I don't know? It's any ones guess.

My NOA 1 date is 7/29. I just got back last night visiting my fiancee for two weeks and contacted sentor's office just before i left as it was the 5 month mark. USCIS sent a letter to senators office saying that it is still within their processing time and asked to contact them in 2 weeks later as they are processing application received on 7/16. Mine is 7/26. Now i am shooting towards early february.

Your response and timeline is very encouraging. My NOA1 date is a day after yours and I'm almost going nuts waiting for NOA2. In all honesty,I dream about this every night and wake up multiple times to pray hard about the processing. I get more scared each time I read on here about people waiting for 6, 7 months. This is turture at its best. I don't know what else to say but I give it all to God to wrought His miracles ....

Let I forget, what's the email address of VSC. Maybe I should send an email also. Honestly I don't think all those emails work. I may be wrong of course ....
