We just had a wine tasting a few weeks ago here at the office. Now there's another one this evening-an official one, with a presentation by some guy and food and all that from 5:30-7 and the guy from down the hall says we are "expected" to attend. I don't wanna go!! I hate wine, and I don't think I can stand to be in this building a minute past 5 pm... :crying:

Hate it hate it hate it!! I tried some white wine recently at a friend's birthday party, it was a lovely pink color, I thought it would have a lovely pinkish fruity taste...nope, it tasted like wine!

Tell them you don't drink. Some might make 'recovering alcoholic' comments but they really should have thought about that before having a company 'expected attendance' wine night - that's quite rude.

On a side note, if you win any bottle of red my address is..... :D Just because I think it's not the greatest idea doesn't mean i wouldn't support it. :innocent:

Did the little guy down the hall respond with a big YES!!!!!!!

LOL he may have, but I will never know because they left us out of the e-mail. The guy who told us about it came down to our office to tell us about it; don't know why he couldn't just forward the e-mail, but whatever...

I work in the business end of radio. Our boss would never make that mistake...they'd stampede any consultant with wine, spirits beer or otherwise. Radio - not the healthiest work enviornment :D
