My application was accepted back in July. I passed the 5 month mark, so I called USCIS to send in a service request. I am supposed to hear something by Feb 14th. I am just wondering if anyone else is having this issue with waiting past the USCIS timeline of 5 months? Should I contact my Congressman? Who should I contact in order to find out what is going on? It is so difficult I have not seen my husband since April. Thank you!

Nearly EVERYONE is. There are posts daily about people passing the 5 month mark.

5 months is an EST time line. Not a set one.

I also filed an I-130 in July and I am still waiting. It's been over 6 months for me now and no word. I contacted my Congressman and the Texas Service Center told him that I would get a response from TSC in 45-60 days. There are a lot of us who are in the same boat that you are. Just look at the thread under the CR-1/IR-1 forum called California Service Center to Texas Service Center and you'll see what I mean. We are all July filers. Very few people have been approved in that thread but, those who have been approved are those who contacted their congressmen and senators. I would recommend that you contact them as well.

Best of luck Bob, maybe you should try contacting your congressman/senator as well.

I will contact my congressman. I am just wondering how did you contact the TSC? I asked USCIS for their number and they said they are not reachable via phone, that the only way to reach them is through a service request. Thank you so much and the best of luck to you.
