My Fiancee is a fulltime student so does not meet the financial requirements.

Her Mum can co-sponsor us but only justs meets the requirements with all her other children included.

We have had 3-4 people offer to help co-sponsor with the I-134

Am I able to have both more than 1 co-sponsor?

I would have her mum who just meets the requirements & her step-brother who is single and earns alot.

Does more co-sponsors help or is only 1 allowed, and if so which would be the better co-sponsor, her Mum who just makes 125% poverty line or her step brother who earn alot?

Also is there a guide/checklist of exactly the forms/documents needed to support the i-134, I dont want to miss anything.

Hello, this is one annoying form

you dont need several co sponsor if you have one that meets the requirements of the poverty line. if the step brother gets enough for both himself and you, then you should pick him, if he is willign to take this responsability.

the papers you need are the income tax papers that he can gets from his bank (my sponsor printed about 30pages but thye only took the first one ...)

for the second question, if she meets the requirements with her job, she can add whatever money she has on her savings yes

hope it helped

Where is the beneficiary from? That matters as different countries have different requirements.

The beneficiary (Derek/me) is from Australia. And Callie my fiancee (from USA) is the one who is still in college. I am planning on transferring my saving from AUS to USA into her account until I get to USA where I will be joint onto her account. As I mentioned we have had lots of people willing to be co-sponsors, wondering whether its worth getting both her mum & brother to fill them out (they both meet the requirements but her brother earns more and has less dependants) Wondering if having more will show more support from her family and our relationship.

moving thread to:

US Embassy and Consulate Discussion

This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here

YMMV

Well in that case :) First, there are Aussie specific threads in my signature that should help you :)

Australia is an easy consulate so there's no need to worry about the multiple I-134's proving your relationship or support from her family. With this stuff it's best to be simple and to the point, not to confuse stuff and as the brother is over the requirement just use him.

Also, the I-134 isn't binding so just find someone that makes over the requirement (the brother sounds good) and then if you like you can have her mother write a letter or affidavit about the relationship etc. But like I said, Australia is easy so you'll be fine :)

The I-134 required docs are a letter from employer and letter from banks. That's all Australia requires. If you like you can also include a tax return. Remember that your USC fiancee will complete an I-134 as well but if her income is zero (as you said) then she has a co-sponsor. There is a K1 beneficiaries thread in my signature that deals with Australias requirements (including links to the US embassy in Australia).
