This is it! There's no turning back! My wife just finished her medical examination today and tomorrow we'll mail her I 485 and I 675 to USCIS. I just hope everything will be ok and she will not be denied.

Just to give a brief background, I filed for my wife's petition (I-130) last October and got NOA 1 last Nov 3 or 4. I am a naturalized US citizen. Last December she visited me here for our first christmas and new year together after four years and first year wedding anniversary. We were together for 12 years as a couple and I moved in here in the US for good last 2005. While here, friends and relatives advised us that there was such a thing as adjustment of status and we might want to do some research about it since they were also sad to know that she needs to return to her home country after six weeks (she booked a round trip ticket back to her home country) and wait for the processing there for an indefinite time. After our research, we indeed verified that AOS is possible.

Now, our worry is that USCIS might think that she went here using her B2 to immigrate. This was not the case and in fact she even told the IO at the POE (counter) that she was here to visit me for the holidays and anniversary. This was really unintentional and was not premeditated. Most of her things are still in her home country and she purchased a round trip plane ticket. I just hope her application for adjustment of status will be approved and we won't be having any problems during the interview. Since we feel that NOA 2 will still take some time, we will just attach the NOA 1 to the application. I've read from other threads that this is possible.

We'll just wait and see what will happen to us.
