F2A PD : 01JAN07

"Continued heavy applicant demand for numbers in the Family F2A preference category has required the retrogression ofcut-off dates for the month of March. Should the current and recent retrogressions have the intended impact to slow demand for numbers, it is anticipated that these cut-off could begin to move forward slowly in the coming months.

Further retrogressions cannot be ruled out should demand continue at the current levels for some categories and countries."

Just spoke to AILA member over the phone, He informed me that DOS has statistics for Naturalization Applications..more than 300,000.00 F2A filers are eligible for citizenship, according to last VB forward, it makes people stop filing for citizenship. DOS has to bring PD backward, so eligible naturalization applicant will file for their citizenship. So PD will move forward..........:star: .It makes sense...:yes:

I told them the dates for F2A retrogressed They were calling me names.Anyway bad news.

It is..lots of GC holder like mexican, Domican Rep, even lots of Bangladeshi, they dont want to be citizen. Last year DOS thought that many were fall into IR-1 category in next couple of months but it didn't happened, People are waited in F2A category finish their spouse's visa.

I hope PD will move slowly..but it will help PD 2010 filers when GC holder start filing for citizenship :star:

As we have to believe that DOS will never issue any visa for F2A unless it is 2 years older than current priority date. GC holder just simply wait to be citizen for bringing wives in America...My Story END..

I am quiting..from VJ..no more..

whats the relation between Citizenship and F2A!!? Can you explain bit more?

2010-12-02: Received NVC case # and replied back by email rgd. I am going for Adjustment of Status.

2010-12-20: NOA 1 for both.
2011-01-13: RFE(for status, and Finacial docs W2,1099,Tax returns)
2011-01-20: RFE replied with Upgrade I-485.
2011-02-07: Got Biometrics Appointment for 2011/03/04.
2011-03-04: Biometrics done.
2011-03-10: Email of EAD card in Production.
2011-03-11: Email of EAD Approval.
2011-03-16: Received EAD in mail.
2011-03-16: Email for Interview Scheduled April 18th.
2011-04-18: Interview is over and officer told us magic words "I will receive GC in 2-3 weeks."

whats the relation between Citizenship and F2A!!? Can you explain bit more?

Don't think there are no relations between the two except for the reason of a quicker processing time.
