They usually do. But if I understand correctly they don't have to, if you're a repeat offender.

Some of them do give you warning before action is take, but as AJ said, if you're on the list, then most likely not.

In the sense that the mods know who frequent offenders are. Whether someone has actually documented their names or not.. I don't know.

I created this account in 2007 with an email that I never check.

I was sent a PM with an order to remove my signature or administrative action would be taken. Little did the mod know I was away from the computer all day...When I came back later that evening I couldn't login and it said I was suspended for 1 day (maybe it was 3, not sure)....I was given 0 access to the site. I couldn't read any threads and I couldn't even check my own inbox (had 2 unread messages from mods).

When the suspension was lifted I noticed the time difference between the first PM and the 2nd PM which informed me of my suspension due to failure to obey the mods orders was about 90 minutes....The mod said not being around was no excuse as her message would have also appeared in my email?
