AOS fees paid, gathering documents

I paid the initial AOS fees which now has the status as "Paid". I will be mailing the I 864 package tomorrow since I have all the documents gathered. Few questions I had

1. Do I need tax transcripts or can I just send copies of returns, 1099 and W-2s for the past three years? I read that the tax transcripts are optional, but wanted to confirm.

2. Another requirement is pay stubs from the past 6 months of the current year. Since we are in January, do I need to send pay stubs from just this year, or the past 6 months?

Get the tax transcripts. They can be faxed from the IRS directly to you within minutes and it's a simple process...once you get through to them. They also do not charge a fee for this, so it's better in my opinion to just get them this way. That way there is no question that what you have is legitimate.

Send check stubs from the last 6 months.

You should look at all of this paperwork. Send more than necessary to prove everything is legitimate and good to go. Better safe than sorry!

^^ Agree. Tax transcripts are very easy to obtain and simplifies the document collection.

This is the number I used - (800)908-9946.(Open M-F 7-10 I believe.) I ordered mine last week in preparation for my ROC and had them within the week. You can also have them faxed to you if you need them faster. Good luck!
