restudy the TN-1 requirements - there's not much to it.. both for you and the employer.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Sorry, no boyfriend visas

Your options are work visa if a company can hire you, a student visa if you can afford the out of state tution (which for me was over $20,000) or an immigrant visa

Until then you can visit but that's it....visit

Good luck

So, I've been sick with acute bronchitis for a long time now. It won't go away. Even after all my antibiotics it persists. I'm too depressed for my body to fight it. Usually this would have lasted a week tops, even without antibiotics, but my depression due to the distance is at an all-time high.

If a psychiatrist can prove things won't get better unless I'm living down there, do I have a case?

Nope, there is no "Sick Boyfriend/Girlfriend" Visa either. Since you are not a USC the US Government isn't swayed by your health (mental or otherwise) issues.

Now if you're thinking the other way "My USC Boy/Girl Friend" is sick without me it still won't work as you don't have a petition-able relationship.

I'd also like to extend my previous post and ask something else here:

I do not have a college degree. However, I am really good with graphical design in Photoshop, etc. Would I be able to get a sponsor or something to hire me? Would this be possible?

You wont be hired for that job without a good education and A LOT of work time with glowing refs. Even then most US graphic work is done under contracts and they will hire an american over a canadian.

A degree is not even close you would need a bachelors for graphics at the least.

Hello all! My name is Shane - I am Canadian - and I'm in a long-distance relationship with an American girl. We're both nineteen - she's in college and I just got a job that can support this relationship.

It has been three years and she wants more. I want more. I want to move down there and be for her, but we can't get married because she has a scholarship worth over $100,000 that may go void if we get married (does anyone know any loopholes around this?) and I don't want to put her education and future on the line.

Is there a way I can live down there with her and support her emotionally until she's done college and we can get married? I need help desperately... :(

How about applying for seasonal work over there with a J-1? This is what I have done for the past few summers and have switched to vacation visas before and after the work visa. Depending on where she lives there are many ski resorts/summer camps for example that hire canadians with minimal work experience.

Don't rush into marriage, you are both far too young. If you are meant to be together, you will both find the strength to go the distance. The important thing is don't put your life on hold - she is finishing college. Use this time to build up your work experience or explore further study so you won't both struggle later on.

Good luck.
