Regarding your I-864, did you include a VOE (Verification of Employment) letter from your employer? If you did not elect to have a sponsor the USCIS states that you are not required, but suggest that you submit one. In part 6 of the I-864 form it says, “For example, you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer's address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary.” I have heard others say absolutely include, and then others declare it is not necessary. We included this again, even for the fact we supplied one in our K-1 packet.

You need to send 6 photos as each form has a requirement of 2 photos. You also need to include the supporting documentation for EACH form even if you make duplicates because the EAD and AP and AOS are separated and sent off to different places for processing.

There is an AOS thread in my signature that has the required document list in it's entirety.

**Edit - some people have been okay sending just 2 photos, some haven't. Some have been okay supplying only one copy of documents, others haven't. It's up to you if you want to risk an RFE. I personally prefer to send in extra photocopies. Spending a little extra money (unless you have your own printer/scanner) to avoid the RFE and the wait time associated with that is worth it in my opinion.

okayyy I saw your amazing link, this is so great. i am checking all my papers and there are also notes that responded to my question.

your link should become a step by step guide within VJ !!!

I think I will keep on being conservative, more is better than less I think.

thanks a lot guys
