Reading the instructions for the 485, it specifically says a copy of the marriage cert, a copy of the fiance petition approval, and the I94. It does NOT say copy of I94 (although one is requested earlier in the instructions).

Is he supposed to send in his actual I94?? or just a copy?

Photocopied of the original copy only. So, JUST a copied copy of his I-94

Just a copy of it, but for your interview take the original with you.

Yeah definitely just a copy. At the interview they will rip it out of your passport and keep it for filing.

I just sent copies and took the passport with the original to the interview. He didn't ask for any documents (original or copy.) Good Luck

I actually sent the original and kept the photocopies of both sides - and made a number of copies. The instructions said to send copies of everything but didn't say a copy of the I-94, so since it didn't specify a photocopy for the I-94, I sent the original. It hasn 't caused a problem so far - and probably won't unless they lose it:-).

I'm glad I found this post! I only have a copy of my I-94 because my lawyer sent the original when we applied for a visa extension a long time ago. My interview is schedule for next month and I hope I won't have problems with that!
