bb's are notoriously inaccurate due to their shape - best to shoot pellets.

also - bb guns are not classified as firearms so quite often anyone can buy them. there may be local ordinances restricting sales based on a minimum age.

Where I am gander mountin says 16 and over to buy a bb gun. Also you cannot shoot a bb gun within a town or city limits.

The Town prohibits the firing of any type of firearm including air rifles or

pellets guns inside the city limits. There are obvious safety concerns with the

firing of these weapons around any homes or persons.

Sec. 14-17. Discharge of firearms, air rifles, etc.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge within the

town any air rifle, gun or pistol or any spring gun, pistol or other similar

device which impels with force a shot or pellet of any kind.

Tsk tsk. Don't play games by answering a question with a question. I know the reading comprehension level is low right now, but please try to follow.......the............thread..........

Are you mad because I got you? (Another question for you.) Why is it when you guys are "caught" you play this "you're not playing fair" card?

If you're busted, just say, "yeah, I'm busted."

That's what BB guns are for.

So cars are NOT for committing suicide and/or murder? If people misuse them too, we should ban them, right?

I cleaned it up. Just for you.

I still see you calling me a creep. Is that acceptable?

What are you overlooking here, slim? A reasonable argument?

Sounds like "reasonable" gun control, doesn't it?

Actually, BB guns are for shooting sand hornets.

I remember (when I was a little girl) that there were a nest of sand hornets along the carport. I remember my Daddy sitting there for an hour or so, waiting for one of them to come out. Shot him clean with the BB gun.

Probably right between the eyes.

PTSD, anyone?

When I shoot a paper target, I want to be sure it's dead with the first shot, so I prefer using a grenade launcher....a bullseye every time!

Don't you mean you shoot them with a "flare launcher" since grenade launchers are illegal?

If this kid did not have access to a firearm, he'd probably be alive today.

Gun freaks, this is on you.

Who pulled the trigger? Was he obese? Blame it on the fork and spoon?

The most accurate BB gun in the world is the Daisy 499. Yes, you must be 18 to buy one or the BB's in most states.

In the words of Heath Ledger - why so serious?

And that's a true story about shooting the hornet. Inaccurate BB gun or not.

I believe it and seen it done many times, but with flies instead.

Hmmm. I guess that means when my kids go to practice once a week for the BB gun team, their breaking the law. They practice in the rooms above the bank, downtown from here. I wonder why the police officers didn't say something when they came up for a shooting compitition with the kids. I also wonder why the University in Bowling Green allows the kids to shoot inside their gymnasiam for the international compitition once a year.

If you want people to respect guns, then you need to teach them how. Each one of my kids has been on the BB Gun team here in Oregon. Here's the site for reference: http://www.timberbeastsbbgun.com/index.html My oldest son and daughter went to Kentucky twice each for the international compititions there. My son took 18th out of 300 kids. My daughter has the all time team record here in Oregon, breaking it two weeks in a row. My sons likes to hunt, just as I do, but my daughters would never do it. I simply put them on the team so they could learn gun safety and the respect the guns require. The scoring is based 80% on shooting, and 20% on tests about gun safety and rules.

Yes, I still keep the real guns locked up because you never know what a crazy teenager will do. But don't blame the gun. Making more laws and taking away our rights won't solve the problem. Do you think if it was illegal to bring a gun on school grounds that the kid would not have brought it? I don't think so. Do you think the criminals will give up their guns? No. The only thing you will do is take away the guns of the people that respect the law, making it easier for the criminals.

Oh, you are soooo silly! Why would anyone say there is a reasonable argument between age limts for the purchase of alcohol and gun control? Unless you want to mention the fact that in most states, the age to own a gun is lower than the age for purchase and consumption of alcohol. So perhaps we should lower the ages for alcohol consumption then? Since 10 year olds can own a rifle in many states, maybe we should let them buy beer? Then they can graduate to liquor at age 18 and nitrous fuel at 21.

Oh, come on now. You are a man and you have a gun. Several in fact. Surely you aren't bothered if someone calls you a "creep".

Personal attacks are a TOS violation. Please stop.

That was not a TOS violation! If you'll look it even got a couple of thumbs up! *oh you removed it - OK!*

Funny though that slim would run and report it. Lots of big talk but just a little boy at the end of the day!

GUNS DONT KILL PEOPLE --PEOPLE DO

Suicide (Latin suicidium, from sui caedere, "to kill oneself")

Looks like it was the human's fault, not the inanimate object.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I don't know, that's why I didn't say it. Perhaps you could ask that person?

Does a gun somehow impair one's judgement?

Oh, come on now. You are a man and you have a gun. Several in fact.

I do not own a gun. I'm on probation, remember? (Just to jog your memory, I'm actually on probation for using a gun while intoxicated. Two birds with one stone for you there, eh?)

Surely you aren't bothered if someone calls you a "creep".

I could care less. I just think if that person finds it acceptable to violate the TOS they shouldn't get their panties in a wad next time someone calls them something.

I didn't bring your mother into this, after all.

And here's the real problem.

What your saying is it's OK to violate the rules as long as you don't think it's that bad and most people agree with you. However, what you fail to acknowledge here is - legally speaking - there's absolutely no difference between you calling me a "creep" and me calling you a "cnut." (Jumbled so it'd be posted.)

I'll wholeheartedly agree with you that calling a woman the see you next tuesday word is horrible and definitely much worse than she calling some awesome dude with a big willy a chump. But, what you've done is you've "voted" for him to have the legal right to do so by supporting her right to call him a less bad word.

A violation of the rules is a violation of the rules, regardless of severity.

That was not a TOS violation! If you'll look it even got a couple of thumbs up!

It's OK as long as most people agree with it.

Funny though that slim would run and report it. Lots of big talk but just a little boy at the end of the day!

:crying:

I don't rely on other people to handle my problems for me. I believe in not only the right to self defense, but also the obligation.

People kill, enabled by guns. Guns being efficient killing devices.

How are people enabled by inanimate objects?
