THANK YOU GOD!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!! THEY APPROVED OUR PETITION TODAY :dance: :dance: :dance:

Ohhhh this has been the worst two months......I have been so worried, nervous, scared, anxious, depressed, you name it, all of them.....My husband too, but he kept telling me to pray, that it's all in God's hands and he will help us, so that's what I've been doing...lots of prayers..........

I've been checking the USCIS website twice a day just to see if we got any touches, although I was expecting a 2-4 month wait. But I couldn't help myself, I wanted to see if anyone was looking at our file. Just a little bit ago I saw the first touch since they received our documents for the RFE and my heart was pounding....Yay! Someone was finally looking at it!! About 15 minutes later I saw a text notification on my phone, and saw the number and remembering it from before, I knew it was them......it said our petition had been updated and to go to the website, which I did......It said today they mailed out a notice saying our petition for the I-130 had been APPROVED........:D :D .

Now I have to figure out what to do for NVC....and what I need. Time to move forward :D

Thank you!!! I am an original USC. We filed last April. Our petition didn't have any touches for over five months so I called them, they said to call back in 30 days, so I did. They put in a service request and in the meantime I called the Senator's office. A few days later I got a letter from USCIS saying that we were in extensive background checks, and to expect a decision within six months. The next week we had two touches and then a 3-page RFE in which we had 45 days to respond. After that I received a letter from the Senator's office the result of the inquiry was that we were in extensive background checks. I hired a lawyer to help us, because there were so many documents and letters, and information that we had to come up with and I didn't want any mistakes, anything left out, etc. We got an update from USCIS on the 30th saying that they received our documents and we should have an update or decision within 60 days. I've been checking the website everyday and we haven't had any updates, so I didn't think anyone was looking at it. Then a little while ago I checked and we had our first update. About 15 or 30 minutes after I got a text from them, went to the website and it said that we were approved. Have I already said that? I'm just so happy I can't think. I know it's just the first step but we have waited so long to get to this point. And it has been sooo stressful....... This is a good day :D

No, we were waiting on a decision on our RFE, and we got it much quicker than we thought we would, and an approval, so we are estatic:)))
