Hi

I am wondering if someone would be able to help me, my husband and I have our AOS interview on Friday and the letter that was sent to me asks for:

All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status - what is this? Will it just be my marriage certificate, birth certificate & passport with K1 Visa and I-94 card in it?

Original and Copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application - what would this be? We did not send any supporting documents with our AOS package but do have proof of joint bank account, proof of joint lease on apartment, proof of joint cell phone bill, photo's from wedding......do we need anything else?

We submitted a sealed envelope with our medical and vaccinations and affidavit of support with pay slips, W2's and letter from my husbands boss - on the letter it states we do not need to bring this information if we have already submitted it. Do you think we should bring copies or will we not be asked about it if we have already submitted?

Anything else you think we should bring other than my passport, EAD, Letters from USCIS, my birth certificate, his birth certificate, AP's, his passport, our marriage certificate and proof of relationship then please let me know.

Thanks

Lesley

Pretty much everything you sent to USCIS with application.

You should have sent photo-copies of this stuff, and kept origionals like birth cert, I-94 card, marriage cert, etc... Bring them to interview so they can confirm validity of copies.

Also bring relationship evidence from the time from filing to now, things like photos together, any trips (Bring receipts from trips), joint bank accounts, credit cards, mail to you at home address, etc...

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

You're right. All of the above need to go with you to the interview. Originals and photocopies in the case of your marriage certificate and birth certificate.

Original and Copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application - what would this be? We did not send any supporting documents with our AOS package but do have proof of joint bank account, proof of joint lease on apartment, proof of joint cell phone bill, photo's from wedding......do we need anything else?

We brought our joint bank statements, joint lease, joint health insurance letters and EOBs, joint life insurance letter, a copy of our joint credit cards (the two actual cards placed on a photocopier), and wedding/relationship pics and albums. You would probably be OK just bringing what you mentioned above. Joint insurance would be great as well, but if you don't have that, your cell phone bill is OK.

We submitted a sealed envelope with our medical and vaccinations and affidavit of support with pay slips, W2's and letter from my husbands boss - on the letter it states we do not need to bring this information if we have already submitted it. Do you think we should bring copies or will we not be asked about it if we have already submitted?

Personally, we brought it anyway. We brought photocopies of what we sent with the original packet. You SHOULD bring the most updated paystubs for sponsor/co-sponsor. At our interview, I was asked for my most recent pay stub only (I'm the sole sponsor).

Anything else you think we should bring other than my passport, EAD, Letters from USCIS, my birth certificate, his birth certificate, AP's, his passport, our marriage certificate and proof of relationship then please let me know.

You are in really good shape. Both of you need ID - either driver's license/state ID or passport (in your case). By the way, we had our interview very recently. Although it was at a different location, it might help you to check the detailed review I wrote in my timeline. Good luck! :star:

Thanks

Lesley

Hi Lesley,

I brought a lot of documents during our interview, but they are pretty much same set we submitted, the interviewer said he already have the copies. The things he asked from us aside from my passport with I-94 and EAD are the phone bills, joint account bank statement, pictures and any official letter that shows both our names and same address, we included checks and certificates made out to our names. Make sure to have photos with both family members. I brought the same photos we had for the I-129F packet plus a few pictures with my husband's family here in US. The interviewer photo copied 1 picure with my family in Cebu, 1 during July 4th and 1 during Christmas, both with my husband's family here in US.

God speed to you both!

Ellery

Hi - I have nothing to add but I wanted to tell Ellery I have a cousin named Ellery and you are the first person who I have ever seen with that same name. Is your name common in the country you're from?

Ok - sorry to get off the topic here!!
