Has anyone ever seen the medical exams for k-2 (minor children of k-1) waived? Fiance's children reside with family in another country from where he is having his interview...the children are listed on the petition ( i-129f) Fiance having his interview on 2/10 and trying to figure out what our possibilites are for getting visa's when we have everything for the children except the medical exam...

Any help out there would be appreciated as we don't know what is next for the children...

Thank you

They will need to be present at interview, and should have medical done prior to interview.

If not present, then would be follow to join, more than likely can have case moved to country where children are, and have K-2 interview done there, would have to contact DOS visa services and ask about K-2 in different country.

They will need a medical exam, especially certain vaccinations (depending on age and consulate- in some consulates, K2 will be allowed to do vaccinations before AOS in the USA); it probably won't be as long as an adult medical, as no questions about drugs etc. Is there a reason they cannot/ you do not want them to have one?

Them having it in a different country from the K1 parent is not a problem.

Duplicate thread removed. It is not necessary to ask a question in more than one forum.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thank you for all the replies...

As stated, fiance having interview in UK...children are in Africa with family and we have all documents ready and even tried to have them in UK for the medical and interview...UK denied visitors visas so we were unable to get their medicals done before the interview in UK...was really sad...

Anyway, trying to get some idea as to what will be the next step for the children...we will be asking at the embassy what is the next step in securing visas for the children...they are young and we want to get them as soon as possible...

My questions were in an attempt to anticipate the next step...

Obviously we want the children to have their medicals and immunizations...didnt know if the medicals could be waived by the embassy and the medicals done here in the US instead...

My gratitude for your replies.
