Hello VJers,

as we may notice, there are plenty of people on this web who has already reached their "5 months mark". Please share the information in case you have called VSC to inquire about the provisional dates for NOA2. Did they say on which date they are working right now ??

I have just seen the post from CSC filer, who was given 08/16 as the date they are working on. So just wonder... :)

Seems these guys had a long Christmas break.... Very slow

2008/05/13 First meet in Shanghai

2008/07 Met in Beijing

2008/10/18 Met in Shanghai again, started dating

2008/12 Spending 3 days in Beijing

2009/04 Spending couple of weeks in shanghai and Hangzhou, first time travel together

2009/06 Chris visited Shanghai, met Jane's family

2009/07 Jane visited Chris and his family in the US for 2 weeks

2009/10 Met in Beijing and Shanghai

2009/12 Chris visited Shanghai, met Jane's family

2009/12 Jane visited US for 2 weeks, spending Christmas with family

2010/04 Chris visited Shanghai, trip to Suzhou

2010/06 Jane stayed in the US for 3 months

2010/09/18 Engaged

2010/10/22 Filed K1 (VSC)

2010/10/28 NOA1 received

2010/12 Jane visited US again for Christmas

2011/01 Chris and Jane traveled in China for 2 weeks, crazy CNY holiday

2011/04/22 NOA2 received by email

2011/04/28 NOA2 hard copy recieved by mail

2011/04/29 Emailed NVC, confirming they have recieved our case

2011/05/02 Called NVC, get our NVC case number GUZ2011619######, case number was assigned on April 29

Unfortunately...you will be waiting for a while. I've called the Vermont Service Center, and they told me that they've only begun now to process the backlog of k-1 visas. Currently they have been processing petitions for July 10, 2010. At the rate they are going it will be awhile, before they catch up. I've been waiting 5 1/2 months now. So if i was a guessing man, that mean i wont see anything till, Mid Feb for my Aug 3rd NOA1. And that's assuming i dont have an RFE request. If that's the case then ...you would need to tack on another 3-4 weeks. This process really sucks. I've seen people getting an RFE request on their fifth month wait!!!

I agree A & K. I called in on Jan 6th and got told they were currently working on July 10, 2010 applications. I waited 8 more days(Jan 14) and called again and then they wouldn't even give me a date, would only tell me that I had to wait up to 30 more days.

3/11/2011 - Touch, RFE response Ack

4/13/2011 - Your I-129f was approved in 251 days from your NOA1 date

5/16-17/2011 - Medical

6/18/2011 - POE (Las Vegas)

You could call USCIS and ask the receipt date of the I-129 F petitions they are currently working on at VSC. That's what I did today to get that info on CSC.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

I'll assure this for u if they are correct saying the truth or just lairs my receipt date is July,24 so I should be approved by this week.wish for u good luck there is no logic in their way to approve petitions sometimes they can take recent files than older.

haha i called a week ago and they said they were working on july 28. so basically they have no clue
