Can I have my wife send me the filled DS-230 form now?

Can I have my wife fill out the DS-230 form and send it to me now or do I have to wait until I get that form from the NVC?

If the IV fee was paid and the cover sheet is available in the payment portal anyone can mail off the documents.

Does the DS-230 form that the NVC sends out have any barcodes on it or would I have to print out my own barcodes attach it to the form? I want to speed up the process and that is why I want to have this form filled out by my wife and sent to me before I get the one from NVC.

The form itself does not have the case number barcode on it, its the normal one downloaded from the govt website. You will be getting the barcoded coversheet by mail or email(faster if you opted for this) and you will send the completed form, civil documents and this coversheet off together.

So there's no harm in having her fill in the DS230 and sending it to you.

06/11/2014 - Biometrics Appointment

09/15/2014 - Inline for interview scheduling (was stuck in "Initial Review" for over 3 months!)

10/27/2014 - Scheduled for interview

12/01/2014 - Interview

12/19/2014 - I AM A US CITIZEN!
