letting her get cold is a good reason to snuggle

Asian women get cold very easily, and mostly come from tropical climates to the US, and they are freezing their petite buns off at the airport while Kano is wearing a Hawaiian shirt, and dabbing the sweat off his brow.

Bringing a coat to the airport in the middle of winter is a good idea for a petite, Asian bride just off the plane,

unless you are so unconventional in your thinking like someone else around here.

Good luck with that.

GOODNIGHT, SINNERS!

What about buying her one of those phones that you can get at 7/11 or something with the card and put the minutes in for her and send it to her. That way she'll feel a little more secure, having a way to contact you when she gets here. LAX is huge, and you won't be able to go up to the gates to meet her. That's probably what I will do when the time comes to pick up my husband there.

My Fiance is arriving at LAX on China Airlines in a few days. I'm definetly going to park and go in the airport but do I just wait at the arrival gate or do i need to go to an immigration area? Will they want to interview me? She has my phone number but no phone that works here.

Oh I missed the "few days" part....never mind, no time for that....I'm sure she can help from someone on the plane on what to do and where to go:)

Thats why i ask about my fiance. Is she really just going to breeze through immigration just like everyone else. It sure wasn't that way 15 years ago. I would think it's worse.

It really just depends on the day of the week and how many people are traveling. I flew back into LAX back in August and there were no lines at Immigration. It was early evening on a weeknight and the place was dead. If it's anything like this (not the norm), she could be through in less than 30 min. I wouldn't count on it, though.

Thanks for the reply. I've actually been through this process before, about fifteen years ago. I was married in thailand and flew with my wife to lax. I remember they had to take her and finger print her and i had to wait in a little waiting area. Since i had a connecting flight i asked how long the process would take and the officer threatend to put me and her in seperate rooms and ask us questions. He said if they didn't like the answers they would send her back. They were the biggest a-holes if every experienced. When they ask my wife to move into position so they could put her hand on the finger print pad. She didn't understand so the lady yanked on her arm. I couldn't believe how we were treated.

My experiance there was totaly different than you describe. My daughter & I were treated with respect by everyone. My husband was with me & said in the 10 times he went thru the entry point he never saw anyone disrepected as you describe.

There were the typical amount of people going thru when we were there. Its a large crowd of confused people. In light of that we went thru in about one hour.

Hopefully the agents that mistreated your former spouse & yourself are wearing Depends & using their walkers by now.

It's good that she's coming in on China Airlines; there should be plenty of native Chinese speakers going through the same routine (in case her English isn't that good) -- just have her follow them!

The plane is a Chinese airline. The person he's talking about is Thai. There are people employed by immigration that help all entrants to the correct lines.
