Travel time before GC Expires

Ciao All,

I was just wondering, any limitations of travel before the GC expires?

Mine expires the end of March and I am travelling to Europe the beginning of March coming back the second week. (two weeks before the expiration of the GC)

I am sending the ROC package in this week.

you should be all set....

when you enter the US, they will see that your GC was extended for an additional year (once they receive the ROC application) so you have actually more than just a couple of weeks before it expires. You do not need to carry the letter with you by the way, but I still recommend you take it in case your travel plans change suddenly and you have to return beyond the expiration date... also, make sure you make copies of it before you travel just in case...

I think you would be ok. You should get a 1 year extension of your green card within 2 weeks of mailing your 1-751 package. We mailed ours out on January 5 and we received our receipt on January 13. In the letter, it stated that your greencard is now extended for 1 year.
