I have my package almost ready to send in to remove conditions with a waiver. Just wanted to know if affidavits from US citizen friends needed to be notarized?

Some says YES and this current Link(http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf) says NO ..so I think calling the embassy to make sure what to follow is a good idea :unsure:

Well for one thing, she isn't using a Form I-134. She is removing conditions using the form I-751, as most know it asks for 2 affidavits from people that has knowledge of your marriage. If the instructions to the form say nothing about them being notarized I would say you would be fine. It would be up to you to go the extra mile to get them notarized, do you think it would be more helpful if the affidavits are notarized? If you say yes in your head to this question, then maybe you should have them notarized.

Further more, still in doubt? Include notarized affidavits, and non-notarized affidavits. Show them you mean business.

Thank you all for your help. I will go with one notarized and the other just a signed statement as one of them is would have to take time off work to get to a notary because of area I am in.
